Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reproduce data without referring to the presence information of an RF signal when reproducing data in which the recording of the RF signal is guaranteed. SOLUTION: A media driving part 11 reads the track index file of data specified by a user from a disk 2. In the case of a single set operation, a system controller 15 determines a file defined on a UMD format from the track index file. If it is determined to be the file of the UMD format, the media driving part 11 reads desired disk from the disk 2 without referring to an RF bit file. On the other hand, if it is determined to be not, or if it is connected to a personal computer 3, the media driving part 11 refers to the RF bit file to read desired data. The invention is applied to an MD system. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a data error from being generated by making the recorded part of a disk not to be damaged and also making the floating posture of a slider stable even thought a foreign-matter larger than the floating distance of the slider is interposed in between the floating surface of the slider and a disk in a high floating magnetic head to be provided in a magneto-optical disk device or the like. SOLUTION: A crossing groove 15 crossing a slider 11 is formed on the surface opposed to a disk of the slider 11 and all areas other than this crossing groove 15 are made to be floating surfaces 11a. A case that when the foreign-matter is interposed at a position directly below the supporting points S by a pivot 22a, a pressure force F acts on the disk via the foreign-matter and a damage is imparted on the recorded part of the disk is present in a conventional device, however, when the crossing groove 15 is formed in the vicinity of the position directly below the supporting point S, the foreign matter is made easy to escape into the groove. Moreover, floating forces are stabilized in areas in front of and behind the crossing groove 15 to make the posture of the slider 11 satisfactory. Thus, the data error is made to be hardly generated.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing clock generating circuit capable of accurately generating clock by reducing the influence of local failure. SOLUTION: In a signal processing part 2, the phase difference of the reproducing closk CK is calculated by a clock generating process part 2A based on a sampling value of the reproduced signal of a reference pattern subjected to A/D conversion by an A/D converter 1 at the time of reproducing the reference area, and a phase correcting signal is supplied to a clock generating part 3 based on this phase difference at the time of reproducing the data area, then the phase of the reproducing clock CK generated by the clock generating part 3 is corrected.

PURPOSE:To easily adjust positions by arranging an optical head and a magnetic head in positions oppositely to each other, incorporating an electromagnetic core in the magnetic head and providing an optical identifying section on the periphery of the magnetic field generating surface of the electromagnetic core. CONSTITUTION:A core supporting section 8 is structured as a slider, a core housing chamber is formed on the surface of an optical head side, an electromagnetic core 9 having a coil wound thereon is housed therein and the core 9 is fixed by a adhesive section 12 within a chamber 11. The adhesive section 12 is formed fixedly by filling the chamber 11 with adhesive agents colored greatly differently from a magnetic field generating surface 9a. The adhesive section 12 is, as shown by a meshlike pattern, arranged as if surrounding the all peripehry of the magnetic field generating surface 9a seen from the lower surface of a magnetic head 6 and the adhesive section 12 whose coloring is different from the magnetic field generating surface 9a is formed as an optical identifying section A. Even when a video is caused the colors of the magnetic field to be an alternate long and short dash line area and the colors of the magnetic field generating surface 9a, the core supporting section 8 are roughly identical and the dimension of the surface 9a is small, the adhesive section 12 is visibly confirmed and adjustment is made to bring a light point into contact with the center of the adhesive section 12.

PURPOSE:To drive with high frequency signals and to suppress the wasteful consumption of electricity. CONSTITUTION:When a coil 10 is to be driven with signals of a relatively low frequency, switches 31, 32 are turned off and auxiliary coils 35, 36 are not used. If the coil 10 is to be driven at a relatively high frequency, while switches 2, 3 are turned off and the switches 31, 32 are turned on, the auxiliary coils 35, 36 are used.

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a rotating means and to miniaturize the device by providing a pin sliding hole for inserting and engaging a sliding pin rotated by the rotating means of a slide driving mechanism on an ejecting board and forming a surface which touches the sliding pin of this sliding hole in a curve shape. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge is inserted into a cartridge holder 35 supported by a holder supporting plate 36, moved up and down and horizontally against a cartridge loading part 1 and loaded into ejecting and rotation driving means. At this loading device 1, the sliding pin 130 of a driving mechanism 38 is slide and engaged with the sliding hole 129a of an ejecting plate 37, the plate 37 is slid and held on an ejecting position. A surface touching the pin 130 of this hole 129a is formed in a cam shape and the plate 37 is slide between the ejecting position and the loading position at a constant torque. Thus, the driving motor of the mechanism 38 is miniaturized by reducing its load and the device is miniaturized, as well.

PURPOSE:To reduce a noise by deciding the voltage reference of an A/D converter stably. CONSTITUTION:A regenerative RF signal outputted from an optical pickup 10 is supplied to a clock generation circuit 11, an initialized area detection circuit 12 and an A/D converter 14. By the clock generation circuit 11, a signal relating to a clock area is supplied to the initialized area detection circuit 12, by the initialized area detection circuit 12, an intialized area is detected by the output signal and the signal level of the area is latched. By a threshold value setting circuit 13, based on the output from the initialized area detection circuit 12, a decided reference level is supplied to the A/D converter 14 and ADD-converted, and digital data are outputted from an output terminal 15.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically display an image for inputting operation on a display part of a portable information processor. SOLUTION: In this information processing method, when an screen element information file 282 including screen element information 301 and arrangement information 302 is read from an optical disk, a CPU determines the arrangement of a screen element image on the basis of the arrangement information 302 and the largeness of an LCD, and determines a screen element image file to be newly read on the basis of the screen element information 301. A reproduction control part reads the determined screen element image file from the optical disk. The CPU arranges the read screen element image file according to the determined arrangement, and generates displaying image data for performing the display on the LCD. A display control part controls the display so that the display is performed to the LCD. The information processing method can be applied to the portable information processor. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a cache system adaptable to both PC data and AV data in respective optimum states. SOLUTION: The temporary storing quantity or temporary storing time of information in a cache memory (temporary storage means) is controlled according to the determination result of attribute of the information to be written in the cache memory. In AV data, for example, look-ahead is emphasized since its look-ahead effectiveness is high because of its continuity, thereby, the cache memory is laid in a state suitable for a buffer-like cache operation based on the continuous read from a storage medium such as disc. In PC data, data retention is emphasized to improve the probability of cache hit, thereby, the cache hit frequency is increased to realize improvement in responsiveness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
