Abstract:
In an autochanger which can continuously operate a video printing apparatus without having recourse to intervention by an operator, a paper feed tray for containing a plurality of recording media and/or an ink ribbon cartridge are loaded in the video printer device such as to selectively change them as the occasion demands, and a magazine which can contain a plurality of paper feed trays and/or ink ribbon cartridges and a conveyance means of paper feed tray and/or ink ribbon cartridge for conveying the paper feed tray and/or the ink ribbon cartridge between the video printer device and the magazine, are provided. Therefore, the paper feed tray and the ink ribbon cartridge of the video printer device can be changed by the conveyance means as the occasion demands, so as to realize an autochanger which can continuously operate a video printer device without having recourse to intervention by an operator.

Abstract:
A connection apparatus is disclosed which includes a connection source and a connection destination. The connection source includes information about a predetermined connection destination; and a connecting element for making a connection request to the predetermined connection destination based on the information about the connection destination and, given a permission, for automatically connecting to the connection destination. The predetermined connection destination includes a receiving element for receiving the connection request from the connection source, a judging element which, upon interpreting the connection request, judges whether the connection source is a predetermined connection source or not, and a permission granting element which, if the judging element judges the connection source to be a predetermined connection source, then grants connection permission to the connection source.
Abstract:
A printer (5) performs a printing operation by driving a cartridge to discharge ink. The ink in the printer (5) is billed according to the amount of actual use of ink. In a service center (23), a head ID is first input. Then, the head ID is verified against the user ID. The amount of the use of ink is checked. Then, the billing amount for the actual use of ink is determined. The user is requested to pay the billed amount.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size, weight and cost of the apparatus by simplifying the structure thereof. SOLUTION: The liquid supply device comprises an ink tank 1 disposed above the ink ejection head 6 of a printer, a replaceable refilling ink tank 2 for storing refilling ink 9, an ink refilling tube 3 having one end 3b connected with the ink supply opening 10 of the ink tank 1 and the other end 3c connected removably with the lower end of the refilling ink tank 2 at the same position as that of the ink supply opening 10 or at a higher position, a means 4 for elevating/lowering the position of the middle portion of the ink refilling tube 3, a means 5 for detecting the residual quantity of ink in the ink tank 1, and a control means 6 for elevating/lowering the position of the middle portion of the refilling tube 3 by driving the elevating/lowering means 4 based on a detection output from the residual quantity of ink detection means 5, and supplying the refilling ink 9 from the refilling ink tank 2 to the ink tank 1 by utilizing the head difference of ink generated between the refilling ink tank 2 and the ink tank 1. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print control device capable of mutually matching gradation reproducing characteristics of an observation image and a printed image to some degree even if luminance reproducing characteristic is temporarily changed on a display screen. SOLUTION: The print control device to be mounted on an image processor for displaying the observation image on the display screen comprises (a) a print instruction detecting part detecting the presence/absence of a print instruction to the observation image; and (b) a gradation correction information output control part outputting, upon detecting the print instruction, information related to a gradation correction temporarily made for observation of the observation image to a printer or an external storage medium with original image data of the observation image. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that tone information of an original image is compressed to be printed, and eventually confirmation of tones becomes difficult in the case where a reproduction tone of a density by ink is smaller than a maximum tone of an input image. SOLUTION: Whether or not a tone distribution of the input image totally belongs to a reproduction tone band by a used ink is judged. When the tone distribution of the input image totally belongs to within the reproduction tone band by the used ink, a tone width of the input image is amplified. When the tone distribution of the input image is narrower than the reproduction tone band by the used ink, and at the same time when the whole or a part of the tone distribution of the input image does not belong to the reproduction tone band by the used ink, the tone distribution of the input image is offset and corrected to a lowest luminance value, and then the tone width is amplified. When the tone distribution of the input image is wider than the reproduction tone band by the used ink, the tone distribution of the input image is offset and corrected to the lowest luminance value, and then the tone width is amplified. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the dithering method and error diffusion method are indispensable for reproducing a density of each pixel in a printer in an inkjet system. SOLUTION: (a) In the case where a printing head with a nozzle array of k or more arrays corresponding to k types of ink (k is a natural number of not smaller than 2) of different concentrations is made an output device, (b) one pixel is formed by a dot group of m rows×m columns equivalent to a resolution of 1/m (m is a natural number of not smaller than 2) of a nozzle pitch. Moreover, when each dot is formed by superposition of ink droplets of the maximum of n shots (n is a natural number of not smaller than 2), (c) a density expression of the maximum of n+1 gradations by any of the k types of ink is made corresponding to each dot, and a density expression given by a combination of the whole dot group of (m rows)×(m columns) is made corresponding to all of density input values. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it cannot be avoided that a printing quality is degraded if priority is given to a printing speed and printing data of a low resolution is selected. SOLUTION: A resolution judging part and an output pattern allocating part are mounted in a printer controller which controls a printing head with a nozzle array of k or more arrays corresponding to k types of ink (k is a natural number of not smaller than 2) of different concentrations. (a) The resolution determining part determines whether or not printing data with a 1/n resolution (n is a natural number of not smaller than 2) to a nozzle pitch is given. (b) The output pattern allocating part allocates an output pattern which is composed of dots of n rows×n columns and is made corresponding to any one of the k types of ink of different concentrations or to non discharge for each dot to a quantization value corresponding to each pixel if an affirmative result is obtained at the resolution determining part.
