PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a non-registered area in additional registration processing by the same procedure as for additional registration processing. SOLUTION: An IC card 32 has a memory for storing a first area formed into hierarchy structure, performs area generation processing for generating a second area in a lower layer of the area according to an instructional command transmitted from a communication device for instructing the generation of the second area in the lower layer of the area, and when the area generation processing is interrupted, transmits first information indicating whether the second area is already generated according to a request from the communication device. Then, when the instructional command transmitted from the communication device is received according to the transmission of information as the first information indicating that the second area is not yet generated, the IC card 32 performs the same area generation processing again irrespective of the interrupted state of the area generation processing, The present invention can be applied, for instance, to an IC card for performing communication with a reader/writer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus which is advantageous for improving handleability while achieving power saving. SOLUTION: The image display apparatus 10 comprises: a liquid crystal display part 38; an illumination part 40 for applying illumination light to the liquid crystal display part 38; a power generation part 28 for performing power generation; a power source part 30 for supplying electric power generated by a power generation part 28 to a charging part 32; the charging part 32 for charging electric power supplied from the power source part 30; and a control part 36 for controlling respective parts. When the illumination part 40 starts illumination operation, the illumination operation of the illumination part 40 is performed for a first period T1 while maintaining the luminance B on a screen of the liquid crystal display part 38 at a first luminance B1 and, when the first period T1 is completed, the luminance B is caused to fall with the time of elapse to perform illumination operation of the illumination part 40. Further, when the remaining amount C of electric power of the charging part 32 arrives at a first remaining amount C1, the illumination operation of the illumination part 40 is stopped and, thereby, the illumination operation of the illumination part 40 is performed for a second period T2. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an action of a user from being traced. SOLUTION: An information processor 12 transmits a signal requiring a change in scrambled identification information to an information processor 11. The processor 11 transmits, to the processor 12 together with random numbers, scrambled identification information generated by scrambling at least a part of items of data of its own identification information with scramble data generated by data including the random numbers. The processor 11 generates the scramble data from the received random numbers to descramble the scrambled identification information by the scramble data. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar battery which obtains high photoelectric conversion efficiency and can be manufactured at low costs and is superior on designability, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: Dye-carrying porous titanium oxide layers 2a-2d are formed on a transparent conductive substrate 1 so as to show a designated color and form a designated pattern by selecting thickness, a laminated structure, a particle diameter of titanium oxide particles, or a mixing rate of two types or more of titanium oxide particles wherein particle diameters of titanium oxide particles are mutually different. The transparent conductive substrate 1 forming the dye-carrying porous titanium oxide layers 2a-2d and a transparent conductive substrate 3 forming a counter electrode 4 are pasted so as to make the dye-carrying porous titanium oxide layers 2a-2d and the counter electrode 4 face each other via a sealing material 5, and an electrolyte layer 6 is enclosed in a space between both substrates in order to manufacture the dye-sensitized solar battery. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hetero-junction semiconductor device having a structure where a high/low difference of an electrode position in a lamination direction is easily relieved or canceled, an increase in the number of manufacturing processes and a drop in productivity are easily suppressed, and electric characteristics are not deteriorated; and to provide a manufacturing method of the device. SOLUTION: In HBT, a sub-collector layer, a collector layer, a base layer and an emitter layer are laminated on a substrate in this order. Collector electrodes 7 are formed on a base layer structure material layer 14a in the same level position as the base layer 14, on a collector layer structure material layer 13a in the same level position as the collector layer 13, on the collector layer structure material layer 13a in a middle level position of the collector layer 13, or on an emitter layer structure material layer 15a, or on an emitter cap layer structure material layer 16a in the same level position as the emitter layer 15 or an emitter cap layer 16. In HBT10a, the collector electrodes 7 and the sub-collector layer 12 are electrically connected through conduction regions 21 formed by an ohmic alloy method. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a semiconductor device by which a desired patterning is facilitated irrespective of the presence of the etching-face azimuth dependency of a semiconductor layer in the wet etching of the semiconductor layer having crystallizability. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the semiconductor device has a process, in which a crystal defect 1 is formed in a region in which the semiconductor layer 15 is etched, and a process in which the semiconductor layer 15, to which the crystal defect 1 is formed, is wet-etched. The face azimuth dependency to an etchant can be lost. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
