Abstract: PURPOSE:To avert waveform distortions and to reduce electric power to be consumed as well as to execute recording of cardiographic signals with high accuracy over a long period of time by converting the cardiographic signals into digital signals, circulatively accumulating the digital signals into plural buffer circuits and intermittently recording these signals at prescribed timing. CONSTITUTION:The cardiographic signals S1 outputted from holders 2A to 2D are converted into the digital signals by an input signal processing circuit 4 and thereafter, these signals are multiplexed and are made into input digital signals D1. The signal D1 are circulatively sent to the buffer memory circuit 10A, the main buffer memory circuit 20 or the buffer memory circuit 10B. The signals are outputted to a recording forming circuit 12 when the circuit 20 is full of these signals. The signals D1 are subjected to interleave processing in this circuit 12, by which codes for detection are added to the signals. The signals are made into recording signals S2 together with time information and are amplified by an amplifier 24. The signals are thereafter outputted to a magnetic head 27 and are recorded intermittently on a magnetic tape 28.
