The fluid end 15 also comprises at least three respective discharge valve bores 57 or 87 in fluid communication with the plunger bores. Each discharge valve bore can receive a discharge valve 43 and has a discharge valve bore axis 63 or 93. At least one of the axes of at least one of the suction and discharge valve bores is offset in the fluid end from its respective plunger bore axis.

Abstract: Se presenta un cuerpo de bomba, como una carcasa de extremo de fluido empleada en una bomba alternativa, que provee un asiento o superficie de acople integral (o un asiento de válvula integrado con el cuerpo de bomba) para un elemento de válvula. La superficie de acople integral hace innecesario contar con un asiento de válvula reemplazable, independiente y su vida útil puede ser igual a la de la carcasa de extremo de fluido. Esto ahorra múltiples servicios de mantenimiento durante la vida útil de la carcasa de extremo de fluido, junto con el tiempo fuera de servicio, mano de obra, y costos en materiales asociados a los nuevos asientos de válvula. La superficie de acople integral de esta forma configura un asiento de válvula integral para el cuerpo de bomba. En algunas formas de realización, la superficie de acople integral puede ser recubierta, sometida a un tratamiento térmico o modificada de otra manera para aumentar su resistencia al desgaste, como por ejemplo incluyendo uno o más insertos resistentes al desgaste que se ponen en contacto al menos parcialmente con el elemento de válvula.
