Abstract: A liquid carbon dioxide (LCD) storage and dispensing system, which may be carried in a water going transport vessel 1, features a pressurised refrigerated LCD container 2, discharge pump 5, booster pump 6, and first and second backflow lines 8,9. Two further variants with additionally specified features are disclosed. The apparatus may find application in the injection of vaporized carbon dioxide into underground cavities, such as those created by drilling for naturally occurring hydrocarbon fuels.
