SOLUTION: In this foam-insulated wire, a resin-composition foam layer with a base polymer including a poly-(4-methyl-1-pentene) is provided on a conductor. To make the foam insulated wire into a coaxial structure, a ribbon- shaped conductor into which a round wire of copper or copper alloy is flattened by rolling is used as an outer conductor 3, and the ribbon-shaped conductor is helically wound on an insulator 2 to form the outer conductor.
