    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain both stereoscopic TV function and zoom function by providing one or more lenses which includes a zoom lens and a light quantity control means and controlling an electronic optical shutter placed at the next stage of the zoom lens at an aperture of a prescribed pattern via an optical shutter drive part. SOLUTION: A stereoscopic camera 1 consists of a lens device 2, having many lenses and a camera main body 3 having a solid-state image pickup device 8. A liquid crystal shutter 6 serving as an electronic shutter is placed between 1st and 2nd lens groups 5 and 7 of the device 2. The shutter 6 is divided into two liquid crystal shutters 6A and 6B, corresponding to the right and left images with the center of an optical path defined as a boundary, and a liquid crystal drive part performs a prescribed operation so as to, for example alternately open and close both shutters 6A and 6B. Furthermore, no aperture mechanism is provided, and the shutter 6 functions also as a light quantity control means.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily obtain natural stereoscopic feeling, by superposing two same videos shifting horizontally, observing them by the left eye and the right eye, respectively, and observing the video at a position separated by a distance corresponding to parallax by the left eye and the right eye, respectively. CONSTITUTION:Two pairs of cathode-ray tube devices for television or projecting devices for a projector are prepared, and a first video A and a second video B in which the first video A is shifted by a distance L (for example, several cm) corresponding to the parallax of both eyes horizontally are displayed on the same screen by using two pairs of display devices, and they are observed by the left eye and the right eye, respectively by using polarizing spectacles. Thus, a left eye image and a right eye image are superposed and displayed as video generated by separate display devices, and the deviation of an image corresponding to the parallax of both eyes is performed by an electrical means. In other words, it is realized by shifting the scanning position of a display tube by performing the insertion of a delay line, synchronous position deviation, and a DC offset, etc. In such a way, it is possible to observe a pseudo stereoscopic image with the natural stereoscopic feeling.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality by using a liquid crystal cell where a field effect transistor is arranged as a switch element at every picture element. CONSTITUTION:When the image light from an object is projected to the field effect transistor in each picture element, a leak current corresponding to the quantity of light is conducted, and the reduction value of a voltage held in each liquid crystal capacity is changed in accordance with the quantity of light. Therefore, the value of the charging current conducted to each liquid crystal capacity from a power supply terminal 26 through a signal detecting resistance 25 is changed in accordance with the quantity of light when a prescribed voltage +B is successively applied to the liquid crystal of respective picture elements at the image pickup time. Consequently, an image pickup output corresponding to the object is obtained from the connection point between the signal detecting resistance 25 and the field effect transistor in each picture element because of the voltage drop due to the resistance 25. Thus, the picture quality is improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily execute linear scanning by point light having high luminance and a small diameter, by using a light source, and a polarized surface rotating means consisting of plural polarized surface rotation controlling parts formed by use of an electrooptic material. CONSTITUTION:Light from a light source 1 consisting of an Xe arc lamp 2 and a reflector 3 transmits a heat ray reflector 4, becomes a parallel luminous flux by a capacitor lens 4, becomes a flat luminous flux 13 through a polarizer 7 and a semicircular lens 8, and passes through longitudinally plural polarized surface rotation controlling parts 12 of a polarized surface rotating part 10 supported by a transparent supporting plate 9. To the polarized surface rotation controlling part 12, voltage is applied repeatedly in order, in accordance with which the polarized surface of passing light is rotated by 90 deg., it passes through an analyser 11, and light which moves like a straight line repeatedly is obtained. Its light becomes point light as it is, or through a focusing lens, and executes linear scanning. Accordingly, the linear scanning by the point light having high luminance and a small diameter is executed easily.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To elevate an information signal as PCM to that of high density, high quality and high S/N, by making the sum of a bias magnetic field and a fixed amount of signal magnetic field larger than the magnetic force of the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A ring electromagnet 1 magnetizes in saturation a magnetic tape 1 to 1 polarity uniformly in the direction of thickness, when the magnetic poles 13a and 13b are N pole and S pole, respectively, the magnetic layer 1a of the tape 1 is magnetized in the direction of thickness, and its surface becomes N pole. Moreover, a bias coil 12 is arranged around the recording coil 11, and each coil of 11 and 12 is opposite to each other on the surface of the magnetic layer 1a. And a regular DC current always flows into the coil 12, and a pulse current is supplied to the coil 11 in accordance with the information signal. Each current value of the coils 11 and 12 is selected so that the sum Hb+Hsg of the bias magnetic field Hb provided to the magnetic layer 1a and a fixed amount of signal magnetic field Hsg can be larger than the magnetic force Hc of the magnetic layer 1a. And the information recording part becomes S pole, and a magnetic wall 15 is formed between S pole and N pole.

Light emitted by light-source generator 3 is passed through polarizer 4, beam splitter 5 and object lens 6 and then focused on the magnetized film of unit 2, where it is reflected before being supplied to analyzer 7 by way of lens 6 splitter 5. During this, the light is under the influence of Faraday optical action according to the magnetization direction of the domain of the magnetized film. At this time, a long-wavelength magnetic domain generated stabilizes the short-wavelength magnetic domain easily disturbed by the run of tape 1 on the magnetized film, a photo modulated signal whose width has been modulated accoring to the domain width is supplied to photoelectric converting element 8 and from its output terminal 9, an electric signal is outputted and then regenerated by FM regenerator.
