Abstract: A zinc acrylate powder coated with a higher fatty acid has a good dispersibility into a rubber, and is used as a co-crosslinking agent in rubber compositions for one piece solid golf balls or for cores of covered solid golf balls. The compositions containing the coated zinc acrylate have a good roll workability and provide solid golf balls having an improved impact resilience, a proper hardness and good sound and feeling of striking.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled rubber compsn. having excellent impact resistance and resilience, by blending a polyether and a metal salt of an alpha,beta- monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid with a rubber component. CONSTITUTION:A 0.1-10pts.wt. polyether (e.g. polyethylene oxide) which is a linear high-molecular material contg. ether linkages in its main chain, a mono- or bivalent metal salt (e.g. zinc salt) of an alpha,beta-monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid [e.g. (meth)acrylic acid] and optionally additives such as free radical initiator (e.g. dicumyl peroxide), antioxidant, filler (e.g. ZnO), etc. are blended with 100pts.wt. rubber component composed of 90-100wt% polybutadiene and 10-0wt% natural rubber or synthetic polyisoprene rubber.
