    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a highly sensitive, highly reliable pressure sensor, wherein corrections are applied on vibration, temperature change, noises propagating through the entire fluid and the like with the sensor structure, and the inflow of foreign matter into a mechanically delicate pressure detecting part is prevented. CONSTITUTION:In a pressure sensor 1, two piezoelectric elements 2 and 3, wherein electrode layers are provided on both surfaces of each film-shaped piezoelectric body, are arranged so that the surfaces in the same direction have the same polarization. Fluid pressure is introduced through two inlet nozzles 39 and 40 on the first surface of one piezoelectric element and the second surface of the other piezoelectric element and the first surface of the other piezoelectric element and the second surface of one piezoelectric element, respectively. Means 51 and 52, which prevent the inflow of foreign matter into a pressure detecting part 4, are provided at two inlet nozzles 39 and 40.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable noise to be eliminated efficiently by allowing length and capacity of a fluid introduction path reaching first and second surfaces of each pressure element to be equal from each nozzle through each pressure buffer room. CONSTITUTION:Length and capacity between both surfaces and entrance nozzles 29 and 30 are equal for each of two piezoelectric elements since both pressure buffer rooms 47 and 48 have the same capacity and length and capacity of fluid pressure introduction paths 37 and 38 and 39 and 40 are equal. Then, both surfaces of two piezoelectric elements face in the same direction and faces in a same direction are provided so that they are of the same polarization polarity. Also, the polarization polarity of each piezoelectric element is connected to each opposite surface through the paths 37 and 40 and paths 38 and 39 from the nozzle 29 and the buffer room 47 and the nozzle 30 and the buffer room 48, electric charge of the same size is generated at two piezoelectric elements according to sound pressure to be propagated and is subjected to differential treatment, thus enabling noise due to sound pressure to be eliminated automatically.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the S/N and response speed and to obtain a compact array type pyroelectric sensor by forming a high polymer thin film which has pyroelectricity directly on the gate electrodes of plural FETs arrayed on a silicon wafer linearly or in two dimensions without using any adhesive. CONSTITUTION:The plural FETs 8 are arrayed linearly on the silicon wafer 9 and the high polymer thin film 10 is formed directly on the gate electrodes 5 of the respective FETs 8 without using any adhesive. A surface electrode 11 which is likely to absorb an infrared ray is formed on the high polymer thin film 10 and used in common for the respective FETs 8. When intermittent light is incident from a light incidence window 3, the temperature of the high polymer thin film 10 rises at the position corresponding to the incidence position. A repetitive output accompanying the rise in the temperature is picked up by a gate electrode 5 and the voltages between the drain terminal 12 and source terminal 13 varies, so the intensity of the incident light or incidence position is known from the variation.

The body part is formed by placing lamellately a glass window 4, an electric chopper element 5, a supporting plate 6, an optical filter 7, a radiation plate 8, and a pyroelectric element 9, in order from the front, namely, the side where the light beam arrives. The electric chopper element 5 is formed by enclosing a liquid crystal 13 between two pieces of transparent electrode plates 11, 12 which have been placed opposingly through a ring-shaped spacer 10.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detector with which whether a signal transmission means and an oscillation circuit are in a connective state or a non-connecting state can be detected surely, irrespective of the kind of the signal transmission means. SOLUTION: An oscillation output from the oscillation circuit 1 is supplied to a signal transmission element 4 via a first capacitor 2 and a first cable 3. A first resistance 5 is connected across the downstream side of the first capacitor 2 and a DC power supply. A second resistance 6 is connected, in parallel with the element 4. A voltage in the connection part of the resistance 5 to the cable 3 is supplied to a first filter 7, to remove oscillation frequency components. The voltage and the first voltage, which is set by a first voltage setting device 8, are compared by a first comparator 9.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber abnormality detector capable of directly measuring a traveling fiber to detect its abnormality in a process for producing the fiber such as a synthetic fiber and thereby capable of minimizing the loss of the abnormal fiber, and to provide a method for detecting the abnormality of the fiber. SOLUTION: A fiber abnormality detector 9 is made up by arranging two heat-sensitive elements capable of detecting the heat information of a fiber 13 in a non-contact state in parallel so that both the elements have the same polarity, electrically connecting the same polarity electrodes of the elements to each other, converting heat information from one of the other same polarity electrodes of the elements into electric signals and taking out the electric signals. The fiber abnormality detector 9 is disposed in a fiber-traveling route which is periodically changed, or disposed so that heat information can intermittently be incident on the detector, thus detecting the abnormality of the fiber.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an infrared sensor by which infrared rays can be fast detected with high sensitivity by a method wherein one pair of heat sensing elements are installed side by side so as to arrange their polarities in order, the polarities at one element are connected electrically and heat information at the other element is converted into an electric signal so as to be processed. SOLUTION: One pair of Al electrodes 91a, 92b are formed on a silicon or magnesia substrate by a sputtering operation, a vapor deposition operation or the like, a ferroelectric thin film 93 is formed on them by a coating and drying operation or the like, and NiCr electrodes 91a, 92a whose shape and area are identical to those of the electrodes 91b, 92b are formed so as to be situated directly on the electrodes. The electrodes 91a, 91b and thin film 93 as well as the electrodes 92a, 92b and the thin film 93 form respective pyroelectric elements, and an infrared shielding film is formed on the latter pyroelectric element so as not to be irradiated with infrared rays. As a result, infrared rays are absorbed by the former pyroelectric element with good efficiency, and a signal corresponding to the intensity of the infrared rays is output. Since the influence of the temperature change of an atmosphere appears in the same manner at both pyroelectric elements, the influence can be reduced when identical polarities of both pyroelectric elements are connected to each other.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To store and hold display contents right before abnormality occurs in a circuit of the device which displays characters, numbers, images, etc., on liquid crystal in case of the abnormality. CONSTITUTION:This device has a liquid crystal display element 18 which applies a voltage between electrodes 182 and 183 to produce an electric field, changes the molecule orientation of the liquid crystal 181 according to the direction of the electric field, and stores the molecule orientation, and an information monitor circuit 14 monitors a source voltage VDD to outputs a display stop signal when the voltage value varies out of a specific range; and a control circuit 15 performs OFF control over the voltage applied between the electrodes 182 and 183 according to the signal, thereby removing the electric field from the liquid crystal 181. Consequently, the molecule orientation of the liquid crystal 181 is held in the state before the applied voltage is brought under the OFF control.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a pressure sensor wherein it corrects a vibration, a temperature fluctuation and a noise propagated to the whole of a fluid by means of a sensor structure, it executes an electric-signal processing operation, its S/N ratio is extremely high, its sensitivity is high and its reliability is high. CONSTITUTION:Two piezoelectric elements 2, 3 in which electrode layers have been formed on both faces of each filmlike piezoelectric body are arranged in such a way that faces in the same direction become the same polarizing polarity. Then, in a pressure sensor, a fluid pressure is introduced from two entrance nozzles respectively into a first face on the piezoelectric element on one side and into a second face on the piezoelectric element on the other side as well as into a first face on the piezoelectric element on the other side and into a second face on the piezoelectric element on one side, the faces, whose polarizing polarity is different from each other, on the piezoelectric elements 2, 3 are connected electrically, outputs from the piezoelectric elements are passed through a filter circuit 51 and the outputs are amplified.
