Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method and apparatus of a sheet material for easily detecting wrinkles without any need for patrolling work by a human when detecting the wrinkles being generated when winding up the sheet material in a roll. SOLUTION: As the method for detecting wrinkles S being generated when winding up the sheet material 2 in a roll, light is applied to a roll 3 of the sheet material 2 from either of light sources 4A and 4B, and at the same time the image of the roll 3 is picked up by using a camera 5 where visual field width has been set to a range of 50-500 mm, and the wrinkles S are detected based on the reflection light from the roll 3.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of sheet attaining improvement of production yield and quality, in production and fabrication of the sheet by measuring the velocity of a running sheet easily and exactly, and by non-contact which results in no generation of dirt, scratch and crease of the sheet in the process of producing and fabricating the sheet. SOLUTION: In this speed detection method for running sheet, the surface of the running sheet is electrically charged with intensities which vary periodically, and the electric potential on the surface of the sheet is measured at a first and a second positions apart from each other by a prescribed distance in the running direction downstream of the charged position. Based on the phase difference of the waveforms of the electric potential obtained at the first and the second positions and the prescribed distance, the running speed of the sheet is calculated. The sheet is produced and fabricated with this speed detection method.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defect detector for a sheet, whose detection accuracy is high, and to provide a manufacturing method for the sheet. SOLUTION: The defect detector is provided with a laser light source and a light-receiving means, which receives light from the light source; and a memory, which stores and memorizes one-dimensional electric signals in a plurality of scanning portions obtained by the light-receiving means for each scanning operation of a laser beam, when the laser beam is scanned in a direction of prescribed angle, with reference to the width direction of the sheet to be measured and a signal processing means which constitutes to a two-dimensional image from a two-dimensional electrical signal, obtained by sequentially arranging the one-dimensional electrical signals in the plurality of scanning portions and which analyzes the image for detecting the defect of the sheet.
