    Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow a structure of a flow rate self-adjusting valve to measure a correct liquid level and liquid density by suppressing change in an amount of bubbles generated from the tip of a purge tube as much as possible even if pressure at the tip varies. CONSTITUTION:A flow rate self-adjusting valve 1 which comprises an air passage with a variable aperture mechanism 6 mounted, a pressure receiving film 7 for receiving differential pressure before and after the air passage and a pressure adjusting valve 9 with a spring mechanism 8 for adjusting pressure in conjunction with motion of the pressure receiving film is provided. Fluid flowing in the air passage is discharged into liquid 4 in a vessel 3, and a liquid level in the vessel, liquid temperature, specific gravity and a border between liquid types are measured by the generated pressure. The flow rate selfadjusting valve 1 contains in it a sub pressure receiving film 10 and a sub spring mechanism 11 which transmit change in outlet pressure of the pressure adjusting valve 9 to the variable aperture mechanism 6 to displace the aperture mechanism.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a unit having a reflection preventing film improving a reflection preventing effect and strength by providing a porous thin film consisting of a main component of a specified oxide and having pores of a specified pore rate and a specified average pore diameter and a thin film consisting of a main component of a specified Si at the front surface of a display face. CONSTITUTION:A thin film consisting of a main component of TiO2, and a thin film consisting of a main component of Si having not less than 1 of fluorine-included group and not less than 1 of siloxane connection are provided. A reflection preventing effect is improved by setting the TiO2 thin film to be porous thin film having pores and setting its pore rate at not less than 30% and not more than 75%, and setting an average pore diameter to be not more than 100Angstrom because of a double light selection and absorption filter effect, thereby a display unit capable of a high quality display having a reflection preventing film of an increased strength can be provided.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively raise the color purity of a color television picture tube and also obtain a large enhancement of the brightness of the tube by providing a black light absorbing layer located in a space defined between fluorescent material layers with a non-fluorescent material layer portion of predetermined width comprising only the black light absorbing layer, and an overlapping portion of predetermined width, where the edge portion of each fluorescent material layer is on the black light absorbing layer at the edge portion of the non fluorescent material layer portion. CONSTITUTION:A black light absorbing layer 14 is semi-transparent and at least one space 15 is defined between adjacent fluorescent material layers 13B, 13G, 13R and the black light absorbing layer 14 located in the space 15 is provided with a non fluorescent material layer portion 14a of predetermined width comprising only the black light absorbing layer, and an overlapping portion 14b of predetermined width, where the edge portion of each fluorescent material layer 13B, 13G, 13R is on the black light absorbing layer at the edge portion of the non-fluorescent material layer portion 14a. In this case, the black light absorbing layer 14 has only a guardband function at its non-fluorescent material layer portion 14a, while at its overlapping portion 14b it contributes in light emission and has a guardband function to some extent. Since thus the fluorescent material layer does not exist in the space 15 between the fluorescent material layers 13B, 13G, 13R, in which space mislanding is likely to occur, the color purity of the color television picture tube is raised to enhance the brightness of the tube.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the sufficient reduction of the surface resistance of a face plate by applying a humidification drying process after coating the outer surface of the face plate with a silicone alcoholate solution, and forming an anti-static film comprising amorphous silica. CONSTITUTION:After coated with a silicone alcoholate solution, the outer surface of a face plate 5 is subjected to a humidification drying process under an atmosphere of 30% to 95% relative humidity, thereby forming an anti-static film 0. The anti static film 5 has a mesh construction comprising amorphous silica and that a water molecule is contained in the mesh construction. According to the aforesaid construction, it is possible to obtain a cathode-ray tube having the anti-static film 5 capable of lowering sufficiently the surface resistance of the face plate 5 without causing any deterioration of optical characteristics.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide remarkable lubricity and durability and to provide a fungiproof property as well to a magnetic recording layer by incorporating the ester of pentadecanic acid into said layer. CONSTITUTION:The ester of the pentadecanic acid is incorporated into the magnetic recording layer. The ester of the pentadecanic acid is produced by the esterification reaction of the pentadecanic acid and alcohol. The excellent lubricating effect is exhibited and the good traveling property and durability are exhibited without impairing the surface characteristic of the magnetic layer and impairing the reproduced output when this magnetic recording layer is used for a magnetic recording medium for high-density recording. The pentadecanate does not exist in nature and is, therefore, different in the decomposition behavior by microorganisms and has the fungiproof effect as well.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a high-density recording tape with sufficient strength and excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristic which runs smoothly by using a non-magnetic substrate whose thickness is 3-30mum, the F-5 value in longitudinal direction is 15kg/mm or more which is 1.3 times that in the direction of width. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic paint including flat-shaped magnetic powder that has its axis of easy magnetization perpendicular to the flat surface is painted on the non-magnetic substrate to produce a magnetic tape. The thickness of the substrate is 3-30mum, and its F-5 value (tension per unit sectional area necessary to extend the tape for 5%) in the longitudinal dirction is 15kg/mm or more, which is 1.3 times or more that in the direction of width. As a result, the strength of the tape is upgraded, the sliding of a head on the medium is improved hence the tape runs smoothly, furthermore, the electromagnetic conversion characteristic necessary for high density recording is improved.

CONSTITUTION:The graft copolymer obtd. by graft copolymn. of a vinyl chloride/vinylidene chloride copolymer and at least one kind selected from polyester oligomer and polycarbonate oligomer is incorporated into the binder of the magnetic recording medium coated with the magnetic coating compd. prepd. by dispersing ferromagnetic powder into a binder on a base. This binder exhibits excellent coated film characteristics in mechanical characteristics such as adhesiveness and toughness at low to high temp. and does not cause solvent shock and phase sepn. at all. Additional improvement in adsorptivity on the magnetic powder and the hardening characteristics of the coated film is permitted by incorporating a -COOH group and -OH group further into the molecules of the resin binder.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a charge preventing film having small fluctuation of a resistance value and high strength by forming the charge preventing film using a metal oxide as a main component and containing metal grains of at least one of Pd, Sn, Pt, Ag, and Au and making the average grain size of these metallic grains 0.01mum or less. CONSTITUTION:A charge preventing film uses a metal oxide as a main component and contains metallic grains of at least one of Pd, Sn, Pt, Ag, and Au, and the average grain size of these metal grains is made 0.01mum or less. The most preferable metal oxide is silicon oxide. The content of the metallic grains is preferably set within 0.01-5.0 wt.% with respect to the film. Accordingly, a cathode-ray tube provided with a charge preventing film excellent in the charge preventive property and having high strength cen be obtained.
