Abstract: PURPOSE:To accomplish an inductor component having a low temperature coefficient while the magnetic core material of high permeability is being used by a method wherein the temperature coefficient of a soft magnetic drum and a soft magnetic sleeve is combined in opposite sign. CONSTITUTION:The title inductor component is provided with a soft magnetic drum 1, with the first soft magnetic ferrite cylindrical part 13 and both-end expanded flange parts 9 and 9, and a coil winding 5 which is wound on the above-mentioned soft magnetic drum. Besides, a through hole 2, which surrounds the soft magnetic drum 1 and fits to the expanded flange parts 9 and 9, are provided. The first soft magnetic ferrite is formed by the second ferrite cylindrical soft magnetic sleeve 3. The external cross-section of the sleeve 3 is formed in a cylindrical, square or rectangular shape so that it can be used as a surface mounting inductor to be flatly mounted on a printed substrate. On the other hand, an external terminal 25 is formed on both edge faces of the sleeves by a conductor film or plating.
