PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for covering core using an ink jet or fog. SOLUTION: The method for covering a liquid or solid particulate core includes a process for dropping or floating the particulate core in a space and subsequently coating the same with a liquid coating during dropping or floating. The coating material of the liquid coating is performed by either one of a method (a) for spraying the liquid coating on the particulate core using the ink jet and a method (b) for moving the particulate core through the fog of the liquid coating. The particulate core is dropped or floated in the space and coated with a first coating composition containing a first reactant during the dropping or floating of the particulate core by one of the methods and the particulate core coated with the first coating composition is subsequently brought into contact with a second coating composition containing a second reactant reacted with the first reactant.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV red fluorescent toner that exhibits narrow size distribution and good xerographic performance, and a method of producing the toner.SOLUTION: The present disclosure relates to a toner design for a clear UV red fluorescent toner having a high lanthanide complex pigment loading. The design uses a saccharide or a sugar acid as a stabilizer to avoid complexation of lanthanide ions from the pigment. In addition, lower aggregation temperature and coalescence temperature in the preparation of toner particles result in particles that exhibit a high fluorescent pigment loading, a narrow size distribution and good xerographic performance.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop various red colors that are between orange and magenta color and that can be sensed by a naked eye when being different; and to provide an ink having high quality.SOLUTION: Provided is a light resistance radiation-curable gel ink that includes: at least one curable monomer; at least one organic gelatinizer; at least one photoinitiator; at least one organic pigment; and at least one red pigment. In the light resistance radiation-curable gel ink, the organic pigment is that absorbency is possessed in about 400-about 560 nm of a wavelength region, penetrability is possessed in about 570-about 700 nm of a region, the red pigment is that absorbency is possessed in about 510-about 580 nm of a wavelength region, and penetrability is possessed in about 590-about 700 nm of a region. The gelatinizer is an amide gelatinizer. A radiation ray described here denotes a light ray that has a wave length from ultraviolet to a visible light region, electron beam irradiation or heat or infrared.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner compositions that provide robust images, with little or no document offset, at elevated temperatures. SOLUTION: An emulsion aggregation toner composition contains toner particles. The toner particles include an amorphous polyester resin, an optional crystalline resin, an optional colorant, an optional wax, an optional coagulant, and a polymeric or oligomeric hydroxyl ketone photo initiator capable of initiating crosslinking of the polyester resin. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide red solid ink compositions for successfully realizing a red region of a color spectrum in a standard CMYK color set, to develop a high-quality color image.SOLUTION: A solid ink includes an ink vehicle and a colorant. The colorant includes an orange colorant and a red colorant. The orange colorant absorbs light having a wavelength of about 400 to about 560 nm. The red colorant absorbs light having a wavelength of about 510 to about 580 nm. The ink substantially matches PANTONE(R) Red 032 and PANTONE(R) Warm.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toners which possess low melting point properties capable of producing a low gloss finish.SOLUTION: Methods include a process of controlling gloss of a toner utilizing a step-wise addition process, which includes feeding a small amount of acid or buffer slowly and prevents particle-to-particle sticking, optionally combined with little or no chelating agent added during an aggregation process, resulting in a narrow particle size distribution while achieving desired gloss and ultra low melting point properties of a toner.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide processes for producing polyester resin based toners, including ultra low melt toners having desired image gloss characteristics.SOLUTION: Silica is added as a chelating agent during a toner production process, and the polyester-based toner particle size is effectively controlled as well as the pH is adjusted, thereby contributing to enhanced triboelectric charging properties of the toner particles. Consequently, an additive is provided which provides image gloss on a substrate without adversely affecting other useful properties of the toner.
