    Abstract: PURPOSE:A gas duct opening to the floor of the kiln is set to the bottom of the kiln and flame collecting pipes with a number of flame-sucking holes bored are fitted the ceiling of the kiln to effect the smooth replace of the smoking gas with oxidizing flame, thus producing high-quality smoked roofing tile or smoked pottery. CONSTITUTION:Roofing tiles or the like are charged and calcined in an kiln 10. After calcination, the smoke duct 11 is closed, then the control valve 9 for exhausting smoke is opened and the gas valve 3 is opened to send a smoking gas from a petroleum or natural gas to the gas duct 1. The gas is heated with the heat of tiles at the floor or the kiln to form a reducing flame, which is jetted from gas nozzles 5 into the kiln. Since the reducing flame is heavier than the oxidizing flame on the calcination in density, the heavier reducing gas places the oxidizing flame on itself and ascends. The oxidizing flame reaches the ceiling, passes through flame-sucking holes 7 and flame-collecting pipes 7 and goes out of the kiln. Thus, the inside of the kiln becomes in reductive conditions and smoking is effected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a lustrous solver-colored salt glaze film proof against frost damage and discoloration by contacting a calcined product in a smoking kiln to mixed gas of smoking gas and salt gas. CONSTITUTION:A base material such as a tile is placed in a kiln and calcined. When the temp. of the material reaches about 1000-1500 deg.C, the calcination is finished. A smoking material such as wood or coal and salt are rapidly charged into the kiln from the fuel hole, and the hole is closed. The hole is then opened slightly to charge salt into the kiln little by little in few stages so that salt gas flows evenly, and the hole is closed. The kiln is cooled to below 300 deg.C in the hermetically sealed state, and it is opened. Mixed gas of salt gas and smoking gas fills the kiln and contact to the base material surface of the calcined product to form a silver- colored glaze film.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet paper holder enabling one to cut paper by one hand. SOLUTION: A rotary shaft 3 is fixed to a roll cover 2, and a supporting rod 4 is rotatably fitted to the rotary shaft 3. The supporting rod 4 is inserted into an inserting hole 8. When the paper is pulled up and pushed against a forefront edge of the roll cover 2, an upward and a backward forces are generated. The backward force pushes the supporting rod 4 backward and deformation is generated between an inserting hole 6. Thereby resistance is generated at an upper edge and a lower edge of the inserting hole 6, and the supporting rod 4 is fixed and the rotary shaft 3 at an upper end of the supporting rod 4 is also fixed. The upward force pushes a rear part of the roll cover 2 downward so as to touch against a roll using the rotary shaft 3 as a fulcrum. Thereby the roll cover 2 is fixed and a cutting line of the forefront edge is fixed. The upward force applies a downward force to a back side of the roll cover 2 by lever action so as to press the roll and stop, and the pulled-out paper is tensioned.
