Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone capable of playing in a sense close to play of a real music instrument by using a rhythm tone of a grouped music instrument such as a drum set etc. SOLUTION: A timbre of the musical instrument composing the drum set is assigned to each of twelve number keys of the mobile phone. The timbre is assigned by relating to arrangement in the real drum set. For example, the timbres of the musical instrument arranged in an upper side are arranged on the upper number keys "1" to "3", and the timbres of the musical instrument played by a right hand are assigned to the right number keys " 3", "6" and "9" and "#". When a user presses a number key, note-on is issued by a note number of MIDI rhythm channel to the tone assigned to the pressed number key, and when the user detaches the number key, note-off is issued with the note number of the MIDI rhythm channel to the tone assigned to the detached number key. The user plays the drum set by pressing or detaching each number key. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic alarming device by which a pedestrian can certainly sense approach of a vehicle without feeling stress. SOLUTION: A microphone 8 collects engine sound generated from the vehicle and generates a sound signal. The sound signal generated by the microphone 8 is converted to a digital data by an A/D converter 9. An analysis module 15 acquires a character of the sound signal of the microphone 8 by analyzing the digital data. The conversion module 16 converts the character of the sound signal in accordance with an analyzed result in the analysis module 15. A sound source 5 generates periodic sound which a person comfortably feels. The sound signal converted by the conversion module 16 is added to a signal from the sound source 5 in a process module 17, converted to an analog signal in the D/A converter 11 and sounded toward outside of the vehicle from a speaker 12. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a customer to optionally select and play music contents such as CD, and to provide information useful for the customer regardless of purchase of a commodity. SOLUTION: An RFID tag 30 is stuck to a package of music contents. Performance information (MIDI, SMAF and so on) of a phrase (e.g. peculiar part) of part of a music piece or PCM data are stored in the RFID tag 30. A user of a cellular phone 1 makes the cellular phone 1 approach the RFID tag 30, and performs predetermined operation to acquire the performance information or PCM data, and previews the above by the cellular phone 1. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information processing unit capable of localizing a headphone sound to a position desired by a user. SOLUTION: When the user selects a favorite music tune (Sa1), a music tune controller instructs an API to load a music tune data, and middleware reads in the music tune data and sound (Sa2). Next, when the user inputs a start order (Sa3), the middleware starts to play back the music tune (Sa4), and thereafter, the loaded music sound data are successively output to a sound source. Next, when the user directs the portable telephone to a desired direction (Sa5), a geomagnetic sensor controller obtains orientation information and inclination information by calculating X-, Y-, Z-axis data outputted from a geomagnetic sensor (Sa6). Next, the middleware converts the obtained orientation information and the inclination information to a filter coefficient using a table, and outputs the filter coefficient to the sound source. By this, a virtual sound source moves to the direction to which the portable telephone is directed (Sa7). COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data exchange format etc., for exchanging musical piece sequence data guaranteeing reproduction of a musical piece that a producer intends. SOLUTION: Scramble processing for rearranging timbre select numbers at random is performed to generate a musical piece file (a) to which timbre data corresponding to timbre numbers are added. When this musical piece file (a) is reproduced by a sound source system (b) corresponding thereto, the reproduction can be performed with a timbre that the producer intends by using the timbre data added to the musical piece file. When the file is reproduced by a sound system (c) which does not correspond thereto, on the other hand, the reproduction is carried out by using a present timbre according to a timbre select number although the timbre select numbers are rearranged at random, so the timbre is clearly different from the timbre to let a user know the reproduction with the timbre that the producer does not intend. A specific event other than the timbre select number may be regarded as an object of scrambling and other scrambling methods may be adopted. Information canceling the scrambling is added when necessary. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone terminal device in which a destination party is confirmed or contents of a message is grasped without watching a display part. SOLUTION: Compression encoding is applied to a voice or a singing sound by a PCM DEC/ENC 18 or the singing sound is converted into musical data and stored in a RAM 11. When a telephone number of a destination party is set and a transmit button is operated, compression-encoded data or musical data are transferred as message data. When a portable telephone set to which the message data are incoming, is set in a real-time reproducing mode, the message data are automatically received, demodulated and then stored in the RAM 11. The message data are then read from the RAM 11, reproduced by the PCM DEC/ENC 18 or a sequencer 21 and a sound source 22 and reproduced in real time as a call tone. By listening to the call tone, the destination party is confirmed or the mail contents is grasped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound signal generating device which can be constituted relatively at a low cost and can impart a variety of effects to a plurality of musical sound signals. SOLUTION: Sounding elements 7-1 to 7-n generate musical sound signals. A pitch LF 020, a pitch EG21 and an amplitude LF023 are timbre addition modules for delicately varying the musical sound signals generated by the sounding elements 7. Selectors 15-1 to 15-n and 16-1 to 16-n switch to determine whether outputs of the timbre addition modules operate on the sounding elements 7. A filter LF029, a filter EG30, a synthesizing circuit 31 and a time variation filter 28 finely vary timbres of the musical sound signals outputted from the sounding elements 7. Selectors 25-1 to 250n switch to determine whether or not the outputs of the sounding elements 7 are to be supplied to the time variation filter. In this constitution, a small number of timbre addition modules can add timbres to many sounding elements 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal which can deliver an alarm at a specified time to a plurality of persons in a remote place. SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1-A writes a designation of alarm in the header of a mail and writes an alarm time in the text. Furthermore, a melody data file is attached to the mail before it is transmitted to a specified destination, i.e., portable terminals 1-B to 1-D. The portable terminals 1-B to 1-D detect an alarm mail from the header of the mail and write the alarm time and the attached melody data into an RAM 7. When the alarm time is reached, an alarm sound signal is formed based on the melody data at a sound source 10 and delivered to a speaker.
