A remote surface preparation device for preparing a remote surface, such as cleaning the inside surface of an aquarium tank from the outside is provided. The device includes a remotely actuated surface preparation assembly having a body with at least one magnetic element for coupling it for remote actuation to complimentary magnetic elements in a moving drive head disposed at some distance therefrom. The device includes an adjustment mechanism which can vary the magnitude of the magnetic forces coupling the remote surface preparation assembly to the device, even during device operation.

The present invention is directed to a cleaning implement (10) for cleaning a surface of an object, especially glass, board, and the like. The cleaning implement (10) is useful especially for cleaning windows in an elevated position. The cleaning implement (10) for cleaning a surface of an object comprises a handle member (12), a substantially U shaped frame member (14) attached to the handle member (12), a means for cleaning the surface (16) which is attached to the substantially U shaped frame member in a manner so as to allow the cleaning of an outer surface of the object by the means for cleaning the surface (16) whilst the handle member 812) is substantially within the region of an inner surface of the object. The present invention is also directed to a method of cleaning a surface of an object by utilising the cleaning implement (10).

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Reinigungsgerät (1) zur Reinigung der Rückseite (2R) einer Scheibe (2) mit einem Bedienkörper und einem zum Bedienkörper separaten Reinigungskörper (4), welcher einen Grundkörper (5) und zwei daran angeordnete Klingen (6, 7) aufweist. Der Bedienkörper und der Reinigungskörper (4) sind mittels geeignet angeordneter Magnetelemente (8) durch die Scheibe (2) hindurch in magnetische Wechselwirkung bringbar, so dass der an der Rückseite (2R) der Scheibe (2) angeordnete Reinigungsköper (4) mittels des korrespondierend hierzu an der Vorderseite der Scheibe (2) angeordneten Bedienkörpers unter Anpressung der Reinigungskanten (10, 11) beider Klingen (6, 7) an die Rückseite (2R) der Scheibe (2) entlang der Scheibe (2) führbar ist. Dabei ist vorgesehen, dass die zwei Klingen (6, 7) unterschiedlich lang sind, wobei durch geeignete Gestaltung und Anordnung der Klingen (6, 7) und/oder der Magnetelemente (8) die kürzere der beiden Klingen (7) mit ihrer Reinigungskante (11) einen höheren Anpressdruck auf die Scheibe (2) ausübt als die längere der beiden Klingen (6).
