Abstract:
A method for slipforming a concrete trench drain channel using a slipform paving machine, said drain channel having frames defining an upper opening of said channel and adapted to receive a grate; and said frames therefor.
Abstract:
Various embodiments for a panel that may be combined with other similar panels to form a padding layer of an athletic field, or other surface, are disclosed. The panel for use in a padding layer of a panel system includes a top side having a center configured to support a top layer, the top side having a surface that slopes downwards from the center of the top side to edges of the panel, where the top side comprises top-side projections having a height varied from other ones of the top-side projections. The panel includes a bottom side having a plurality of bottom-side projections and a drainage hole that fluidly couples top-side projections with bottom-side projections.
Abstract:
A lightweight universal panel mat made of plastic or elastomeric material and having a first section that provides a relatively flat, textured or structured top surface to facilitate movement over the upper surface and a second section having geometry that includes a plurality of cells having top surfaces that support the first section. The panel mats also have first, second, third and fourth sides that are configured with tabular extensions or openings, slots or recesses configured and dimensioned to be able to receive the tabular extensions. At least some of the tabs and slots are configured to facilitate snap-locking. Thus, a plurality of similarly configured panel mats can be connected by interlocking of the tabs of one mat into the openings, slots or recesses of one or more adjacent similarly configured mats.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a multifunctional synthetic resin block for roads. The synthetic resin block includes a water permeable sheet configured as a synthetic resin block having a flat sheet shape so as to be laid on a ground, a block frame configured as a synthetic resin body taking a form of a rectangular frame, which is divided into multiple rectangular areas each having open top and bottom sides, so as to be installed on the upper surface of the water permeable sheet, the rectangular areas being filled with filler stones, and multiple corrugated plates each configured as a synthetic resin having a rectangular plate shape and arranged so that corrugations thereof are oriented perpendicular to each other so as to cover the rectangular areas of the block frame. The synthetic resin block provides almost all functions, such as a rainwater retention function, water permeation function, and anti-slippage function, at low cost.
Abstract:
A golf course bunker drainage system has been developed that is a modular structure taking the form of a plurality of porous bunker paver blocks formed of material exhibiting vertical and horizontal infiltration rates at least the same as bunker sand. The plurality of porous bunker paver blocks is disposed as a boundary layer between a bunker subsoil bottom surface and overlying bunker sand, allowing rainwater to drain into the subsoil, with excess rainwater directed away from the bunker sand. The use of bunker paver blocks also maintains the integrity of the bunker shape and prevents movement of sand and other materials along steeply sloping bunker sidewalls.
Abstract:
A permeable surface covering unit comprises a top surface and at least two pairs of irregularly shaped mating sides, one or more passageways extending downwardly from the top surface, and at least one under channel connected to the passageways for retaining liquid, such as storm water. The sides of the unit preferably define an irregular rotational tessellation element. The passageways may comprise gaps or side cavities between units and/or core cavities or other passageways within the unit. Optional undercuts may be provided in the core cavities. Pervious material plugs are cast into the cavities extending into the channel or undercut. Thereby the plug is locked into the cavity like a rivet and resists being dislodged by mechanical or hydraulic forces. A permeable surface embodiment comprises a combination of pervious and impervious units, wherein the ratio of permeable to impermeable units and resulting surface absorption rate may be adjusted.
Abstract:
This application relates to a light-weight, multi-purpose construction panel. The panel may be formed, for example, from molded plastic. Each panel includes a substantially planar deck on a first side thereof and a second side comprising alternating male and female sleeves arranged in honeycomb-like compartments defined by a plurality of wall elements. A pair of panels may be releasably coupled together with their respective second sides facing inwardly to form a construction assembly. When a pair of panels is coupled together, the male sleeves of one panel matingly fit within the females sleeves of the other panel, and vice versa. The panel assemblies may be used for many different construction applications including flooring, roofing and wall structures.
Abstract:
A drainage system for road surfaces is defined by a plurality of drainage plates (2), which are substantially rectangular in shape, each of which has at least one drainage channel (5) and is delimited by a lateral rim wall (10) defined by two first edges (11a, 11b) opposite to each other and by two second edges (12a, 12b) opposite to each other; each edge (11a, 11b, 12a, 12b) being provided with at least one coupling member (14) to allow each pair of mutually adjacent drainage plates (2) to be selectively connected at two relative first edges (11a, 11b), at two relative second edges (12a, 12b), and at a first edge (11a, 11b) of one of the two drainage plates (2) and at a second edge (12a, 12b) of the other drainage plate (2).

When a pair of panels is coupled together, the male sleeves of one panel matingly fit within the females sleeves of the other panel, and vice versa. Each panel may also include guide tubes which are aligned when the panels are coupled together. A plurality of channels may be formed in the deck on the first side of the panel and spaced-apart apertures may be arranged in the channels in alignment with the guide tubes for insertion of fasteners therein or to allow water drainage through the assembly. The wall elements may include spaced-apart notches which together define conduits extending through the interior of an assembly when a pair of panels are coupled together. The conduits are sized to receive fluid delivery tubes for delivering fluid, such as heated air or water, through the panel assemblies. The panel assemblies may be used for many different construction applications including flooring, roofing and wall structures.
