Abstract:
A pumping mechanism is disclosed. The pumping mechanism may include a barrel formed of a barrel substrate and including a first end surface, a second end surface opposite the first end surface, and a bore between the first and second end surfaces. Each of the first and second end surfaces and the bore is coated with a metal plating. The pumping mechanism may further include a plunger formed of a plunger substrate and configured to be slidably disposed in the bore in barrel, the plunger substrate having a tribological coating.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a two-part piston (1) for an internal combustion engine, consisting of an upper part (2) and a lower part (3) which is screwed to the upper part. The upper part (2) and the lower part (3) are in contact with each other, partially by means of inner bearing surfaces (25, 26) defining the lower side of an upper ring rib (10) and the upper side of a lower ring rib (11), and partially by means of outer bearing surfaces (28, 29) defining the lower side of the ring wall (9) and the upper side of a collar (27) applied to the lower part (29). In order to avoid frictional rubbing, frictional heat sealing and pressure-related material heat sealing, at least one of the bearing surfaces (25, 26, 28, 29) is easily and economically provided with a chrome layer (30) which has a structured surface comprising a plurality of raised parts and recesses.
Abstract:
Although modern diesel fuel formulations are intended to reduce emissions of diesel engines, at least some of those modern fuels tend to have relatively low lubricity levels. The control valve assemblies described herein help to minimize any increased wear that would otherwise result from the use of such low lubricity fuels by providing a valve element, a valve guide, and an insert. The valve element is received within the valve guide and is moveable between an open position and a closed position. The insert forms a first sealed interface and a second sealed interface with the valve element and the valve guide. When the valve element is in the closed position, both of the first sealed interface and the second sealed interface are engaged. When the valve element is in the open position, only one of the first sealed interface and the second sealed interface is engaged.
Abstract:
A small size gear pump having a disc-shaped case, inside which a flat cylindrical motor rotor chamber, a bearing chamber and a flat cylindrical gear chamber are arranged eccentrically from the bearing chamber and the rotor chamber, which are piled sequentially along an axial direction and are communicating to each other.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a two-cycle internal combustion gasoline engine cylinder. The two-cycle engine cylinder according to this invention is characterized in that a smooth hard chromium plated layer is formed on a combustion chamber top inner surface of the cylinder.

Abstract:
A rotary compressor includes: a compressing unit that includes an annular cylinder, an end plate, an annular piston which is fit in an eccentric portion of a rotation shaft, and a vane which protrudes from the inside of a vane groove of the cylinder to the inside of an operation chamber, comes into contact with the annular piston, and partitions the operation chamber into an inlet chamber and a compression chamber. The vane is formed of steel and has a diamond-like carbon layer formed on a sliding surface with respect to the annular piston. The annular piston is formed of Ni—Cr—Mo cast iron to which 0.15 wt % to 0.45 wt % of phosphorus is added, or is formed of cast iron or steel and has an iron nitride layer formed on an outer circumferential surface thereof.
Abstract:
Corrosion resistant alloys in fluid ends to prolong the life of a well service pump. Methods of using such corrosion resistant alloys that provide a fluid end that has a corrosion resistant alloy having a fatigue limit greater than or equal to the tensile stress on the fluid end at maximum working pressure in the fluid end for an aqueous-based fluid; installing the fluid end in a well service pump; and pumping the aqueous-based fluid through the fluid end.
