Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of properly performing IP filtering even when communication by IP-FAX is performed when a user inputs the telephone number of the other party.
SOLUTION: The communication apparatus which can perform communication by IP-FAX with another device connected to a network includes: an IP filter unit for allowing or rejecting communication on the basis of a set IP address; an inputting unit for inputting or setting a telephone number; and an acquiring unit for acquiring an IP address corresponding to a telephone number input or set by the inputting unit from an ENUM server and an SIP server connected to the network, and sets an IP filter based on the obtained IP address in the IP filter unit.
