Abstract:
An apparatus comprises a plug to couple the apparatus to a display device, a first receptacle to receive a first media device containing image data for display on the display device and an imaging processor coupled to the plug and the first receptacle.
Abstract:
A camera system includes a video camera having a first mating mechanism defined on a bottom, planar surface of the video camera. A battery assembly contains an energy cell and a first surface of the battery assembly is releasably engageable with the mounting mechanism such that the battery assembly is suspended beneath the video camera, with the bottom, planar surface of the video camera in substantial contact with the first surface. A support apparatus having a second mating mechanism is also provided, the second mating mechanism releasably engaging a second surface of the battery assembly.
Abstract:
A portable document scanner that records both image and voice information, comprises a digital camera module (101) configured to capture document images, and a laser frame generator (106) configured to project a visible beam of light forming a laser frame (205) to indicate the corresponding field of view of the optical lens for framing a document (206) to be captured. A light source generated by a laser diode (202) is shaped by passing through a collimating optical element (203) and a diffractive optical element (204) which is configured to produce a visible laser frame for framing a document to be captured. The captured data is then stored in an internal memory of the scanner. A data connector (117) is permanently attached to the scanner body, which is used to connect the scanner directly into a receptacle on an external device (303) for accessing data. After the data connector has thus connected the scanner to the external device, the captured data can be transferred through the data connector from the internal memory of the scanner to the external device. The data connector can be either separately sheathed with a protective outer cap (301) to serve as an attachment to keychain; or separately integrated with a pen mechanism (400) to serve as a writing instrument when carried by user for daily use.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for provision to customers of display material without intervention by an attendant. It is known to dispense material to attendees and prospective customers at meetings, exhibitions, conferences and commodity or product shows of all kinds, in an anonymous fashion from unattended literature racks and the like. The material to be dispensed usually comprises brochures, pamphlets and other printed material describing the item of interest which attracted the potential customer or attendee. It is not always possible to have a human attendant present, and even if one or more attendants are present, it may not be possible to meet the instant needs of a large crowd. The present invention seeks to provide means whereby the needs of every individual can be met, whether or not a human attendant is present, whilst allowing the attendee the choice of remaining anonymous or not. In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a point of display document dispenser comprising: coupling means for accepting coupling of a portable electronic memory device to said point of display dispenser; detection means for detecting when a portable electronic memory device is coupled with said coupling means and providing output indicative thereof; and data transfer means, operative, on the condition that said detecting means has provided said output, to transfer an electronic copy of a document in an associated memory means to the portable memory device or to receive an identification address.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus for reproducing an image, a method for reproducing an image, and a computer-readable recording medium having a program for executing the method by a computer are provided to make an input and output type of image data common even if an image input element is exchanged. CONSTITUTION: An expansion control element is connectable with a control plate used for adding a plurality of option units when a desired expansion function is used, and is installed to use an operation type, and an input and output type of image data in a basic function in common in case of the expansion function using the control plate. A reproduction quality maintaining element maintains the quality of a reproduced image using the basic function and the quality of a reproduced image using the expansion control element equally. An operation element(111) operates the expansion control element equally to operation of the basic function. A resource utilization element utilizes resources of the basic function in inputting and outputting the image data by the expansion control element. An image input and output control element(108) controls to make the input and output type of the image data owned by an image input element common according to output characteristics of the image data output from the image input element.
Abstract:
An imaging unit includes an imaging device that transmits an image data to an external display device; and an installation portion that is attachable to and detachable from the display device. The imaging device includes a communication part that transmits an image data to the display device, an outer barrel, and an imaging element. The installation portion includes a slider that is slidable with respect to the outer barrel, a first attached body that is connected to the slider, a second attached body that can change its gap with the first attached body, and a biasing member that biases the first attached body and the second attached body in a direction in which a gap therebetween becomes narrowed, in which the display device is grasped by the first attached body and the second attached body.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: a connector unit to which an external memory device is connected; a detecting unit configured to detect whether the external memory device is connected to the connector unit or not and output a detection result indicating that the connector unit is in a connected state or an unconnected state; a printing unit configured to execute a printing according to data from the external memory device connected to the connector unit; and a suspending unit configured to suspend operation of the printing unit according to a predetermined timing in response to a change in the detection result from the connected state to the unconnected state.
