Abstract: Controlling contents of interfaces may include receiving multiple interfaces presented on a display screen. The multiple interfaces may include at least one primary task interface and each of the multiple interfaces may present at least one content item. A user engagement level with respect to content items presented via the multiple interfaces may be estimated. A degree of user effectiveness with respect to progression toward completing a primary task presented via the primary task interface may be determined. A content item may be selected from the multiple interfaces based on the user engagement level and the degree of user effectiveness. A presentation of the selected content item may be made in a controlled manner on an unused portion of at least one of the multiple interfaces.

Abstract: A technique for constructing a model supporting a plurality of domains is disclosed. In the technique, a plurality of teacher models, each of which is specialized for different one of the plurality of the domains, is prepared. A plurality of training data collections, each of which is collected for different one of the plurality of the domains, is obtained. A plurality of soft label sets is generated by inputting each training data in the plurality of the training data collections into corresponding one of the plurality of the teacher models. A student model is trained using the plurality of the soft label sets.

Abstract: Loading a set of data into a target database management system (DBMS) from a source DBMS to increase workload performance and decrease resource usage is provided. Using a size and a change rate of tables eligible to be offloaded to the target DBMS, a total central processor unit (CPU) cost corresponding to loading the set of data into to the target DBMS and workload cost savings corresponding to executing one or more workloads on the target DBMS is determined based on a set of one or more load strategies. The total CPU cost is compared with the workload cost savings of each load strategy. An optimal load strategy is selected based on comparing the total CPU cost with the workload cost savings of each load strategy. The set of data is automatically loaded into to the target DBMS from the source DBMS in accordance with the selected optimal load strategy.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a memory module that includes a plurality of memory devices and a memory buffer device. Each of the memory devices are characterized as one of a high random bit error rate (RBER) and a low RBER memory device. The memory buffer device includes a read data interface to receive data read from a memory address on one of the memory devices. The memory buffer device also includes common error correction logic to detect and correct error conditions in data read from both high RBER and low RBER memory devices. The common error correction logic includes a plurality of error correction units which provide different complexity levels of error correction and have different latencies. The error correction units include a first fast path error correction unit for isolating and correcting random symbol errors.
