Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide additives for lubricant for improving tribologic properties, to provide novel lubricants containing the additives, and to provide a process for the preparation thereof. SOLUTION: The lubricants contain nano particles, and the lubricants are characterized in that: the nano particles are ceramic particles which have preferably specified shapes and specified particle sizes and have specified thermal conductivity; the nano particles are dispersed in base material oil comprising natural oil, mineral oil and/or synthetic oil, ester oil or the like. The process for the preparation of the lubricants is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

PCT No. PCT/CA97/00658 Sec. 371 Date Jun. 22, 1999 Sec. 102(e) Date Jun. 22, 1999 PCT Filed Sep. 11, 1997 PCT Pub. No. WO98/13445 PCT Pub. Date Apr. 2, 1998The present invention relates to novel lubricant compositions comprising a solid lubricant and a binding agent in water medium suitable for lubricating steel-steel interfaces such as tractor-trailer couplings, rail-wheel systems and other heavy duty applications. The invention also relates to compositions described above which include friction modifiers with high or very high and positive coefficients of friction such that the coefficient of friction is considerably higher than the solid lubricant. The invention further relates to compositions comprising a binding agent and a friction modifier with a very high and positive coefficient of friction in a water medium.
Abstract:
A grease composition for construction equipment comprises a lubricating grease, a) 1 to 5% by weight of phosphate glass and b) 1 to 5% by weight of a sulfur-phosphorus extreme-pressure additive; as well as c) 0.5 to 3% by weight of an aromatic sulfonic acid salt and d) 0.1 to 3% by weight of a triazole compound as optional components based on the total weight of the grease composition. The grease composition exhibits considerably high resistance to load and accordingly, can be applied to construction equipment which require high resistance to load, such as a hydrauric excavator and a wheel loader.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new hydrated potassium borate composition in a dispersed state reduced in turbidity and improved in abrasion resistance at high temperatures, and to provide an additive package and to obtain a formula oil composition each containing the above composition. SOLUTION: The new hydrated potassium borate composition exhibiting low turbidity is provided. The additive package and the formula oil composition each containing the same are also provided, respectively. The formula oil composition is improved in wear resistance at high temperatures. Abstract:
A solid lubricant composition comprises (I) 30 to 70 parts by weight of graphite, (II) 70 to 30 parts by weight of a mixture of at least two components selected from alkali molybdate, alkali or alkaline earth sulphate and alkali phosphate, the ratio of the two individual ingredients being in the range of from 0.05/1 to 20/1. Compositions give improved load-bearing capacity and allows settling of friction coefficient.
Abstract:
Agent for the pickling of and as an antioxidant for workpieces made of iron and steel in the case of when they are subjected to non-cutting, hot transformation. The agent is used in dry form. The agent contains: (a) 20 to 80 percent by weight of a pickling-effective compound, such as, sodium metaborate; (b) 1 to 80 percent by weight of a component, such as, graphite; and (c) zero to 79 percent by weight of at least one substance selected from group (d), (e) and/or (f). Zero to 35 percent by weight of group (d), such as, coke, can be used as substance (c) and, for example, act as antioxidants. Zero to 50 percent by weight of group (e), such as, sodium chloride, can be used as substance (c), and control the physical characteristics. Zero to 5 percent by weight of group (f), such as, ammonium chloride, can be used as substance (c) and, for example, act on the reduction of the oxides of group (a).
