Abstract:
There is provided a method of detecting whether a first fixed-line telephone number has an active call forwarding condition, the method comprising monitoring the signals received in the set up of a telephone call to the first fixed-line telephone number; and detecting whether the first fixed-line telephone number has an active call forwarding condition based on the timing of signals received in the set up of the telephone call to the first fixed-line telephone number and/or the sequence in which signals are received in the set up of the telephone call to the first fixed-line telephone number.
Abstract:
A system for providing voice-to-text captioning service comprising a relay processor that receives voice messages generated by a hearing user during a call, the processor programmed to present the voice messages to a first call assistant, a call assistant device used by the first call assistant to generate call assistant generated text corresponding to the hearing user's voice messages, the processor further programmed to run automated voice-to-text transcription software to generate automated text corresponding to the hearing user's voice messages, use the call assistant generated text, the automated text and the hearing user's voice messages to train the voice-to-text transcription software to more accurately transcribe the hearing user's voice messages to text, determine when the accuracy exceeds an accuracy requirement threshold, during the call and prior to the automated text exceeding the accuracy requirement threshold, transmitting the call assistant generated text to the assisted user's device for display to the assisted user and subsequent to the automated text exceeding the accuracy requirement threshold, transmitting the automated text to the assisted user's device for display to the assisted user.
Abstract:
Conference systems are used for example in discussions and usually comprise a plurality of delegate units with microphones, whereby in a discussion each discussion participant uses his own delegate unit. Usually the delegate units have a switch or the like, that allows the participant in front of the delegate unit to request, that his microphone is activated, so that the speech of the participant is input in the conference system and amplified by the conference system. A conference system comprising (1) a plurality of delegate units (2), each delegate unit (2) having a microphone (5) for receiving an audio signal from a surrounding, a central service module (3) handling a plurality of contribution channels, whereby the audio output of the contribution channels contribute to an amplified audio output of the conference system (1) is proposed, whereby each delegate unit (2) is adapted to send a request for a contribution channel commit to the central service module (3), whereby the central service module (2) is adapted to grant the request and to allocate a contribution channel to the requesting delegate unit (2), thus setting the requesting delegate unit i in an active state A, whereby the delegate unit (2) is adapted to trigger the request by voice activation, whereby the request is triggered in case at least a first trigger condition is fulfilled defining that the audio signal level of one of the delegate units (2) as a possible requesting delegate unit i is higher than an individual test value for each other delegate unit (2) in the active state A, whereby the individual test value is an estimated audio signal level of the possible requesting unit i resulting from an audio or speech signal provided to the other active delegate units (2).
Abstract:
Communication device (110) and method (300) for facilitating call back from a communication device (110) with multiple subscriber identities (440-1, 440-2), comprising at least a first subscriber identity (440-1) and a second subscriber identity (440-2). The method (300) comprises receiving (301) a telephone call on a first subscription, associated with the first subscriber identity (440-1), from another communication device (130). The method (300) also comprises determining (303) an order of prioritization among the subscriber identities (440-1, 440-2), according to at least one parameter, for establishing the telephone call with the other communication device (130) on the subscription associated with the respective subscriber identities (440-1, 440-2). In further addition, the method (300) comprises facilitating (304) call back to the other communication device (130) using the second subscriber identity (440-2), when it is determined (303) that the second subscriber identity (440-2) is more prioritized than the first subscriber identity (440-1).
Abstract:
Communications network node (5) configured to receive a called address string of a call destination and to output the called address string. The node comprises a processor (10) and a memory (12). The memory arranged to store at least one address string, and the processor configured to compare the called address string with the at least one stored address string. If the received called address string corresponds to one of the at least one stored address string the processor configured to cause the called address string to be output as a single signalling message.
Abstract:
The inventive subject matter is generally directed to matching a party with another party based on profiling of the parties, and optionally an industry category, for parameters that are relevant to making a match. In certain embodiments, the inventive subject matter facilitates matches between searchers and service providers based on assignment of searchers and service providers to predefined Buyer Types or Service Provider Types based on questionnaires, surveys, and other input and feedback mechanisms. In a further aspect, the inventive subject matter is directed to a system for valuing and monetizing a set of leads to offer to a party. In some embodiments, the inventive subject matter is directed to mobile applications for matching searchers with providers based on awareness of the locations of the parties.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A system and method for semi-automated dialing is provided. The system includes a display, and a standard keyboard upon which some keys have both a numeric and alphabetic interpretation. An input is received from the keyboard. A determination is made if the input consists only from the keys that have both numeric and alphabetic interpretation. If this is the case, then a numeric analysis is performed. Otherwise, a word analysis is performed. The numeric analysis includes determining if the input has an alternate interpretation, and if so then displaying them so that the user may select the intended input. Determining alternate interpretations includes comparing the input with a dictionary. The word analysis includes searching for word matches between the received input and words in a dictionary, and then converting the matched words into numbers using telephone convention. Results from the analyses may be dialed.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method and a system for verifying identity of a user and a system for generating and maintaining verification codes. The method and the system use system-generated caller numbers as verification codes. When an application system needs to verify the identity of a user, the verification system generates a caller phone number and uses a communication switching system to place a call originating from the caller phone number to the user's phone. The user's phone has a caller ID display function to automatically display the caller number, which serves as a user identity verification code. The user provides the received caller number to the application system for user identity verification. No text messaging or other ways of communication is required. The method and the system can achieve reliable user identity verification. A centralized system may support multiple application systems for user identity verification.
