Abstract:
A system and method for automatically verifying a telephone number proffered by a user of an application. During registration or installation of the application, client software is installed on the user's mobile device (e.g., a smart phone, a tablet computer). One of a pool of telephone numbers for outgoing calls is selected, and a call is initiated to the proffered number by the system. The software executing on the user's device detects the incoming call, extracts caller identification data (i.e., the originating telephone number), formats a data communication (e.g., an http request) to include the data, and sends it to the system. The system receives the data communication and compares the data with the originating number. If they match, the user's telephone number is verified. The outgoing call from the system may be canceled before it rings at the device if the data communication is received in time.
Abstract:
A computer based system and method for translation and communication of messages includes sending a message in a source language using a transmission protocol from a first client device to a second client device. The source language message is transmitted using a transmission protocol to a translation server for translating the message from the source language to a destination language by either the first or second client device. The message, in its destination language form, is displayed and stored. The translation server is either on-line or off-line. Text-to-voice and voice-to-text converters are used for conversion of original text messages to voice, or of original voice to text, for transmission to the second client device.
Abstract:
A speech analytics system (“SAS”) monitors speech from a remote party and agent to determine when text-based guidance information (“TBGI”) and a script control icon is to be provided to the agent. The agent may respond to a particular context with certain information, either by verbally informing the remote party or causing a prerecorded script to be played to the remote party. In one embodiment, the SAS monitors the agent's speech to ascertain if an expected speech response is provided by the agent within a first time period. If not, the SAS may cause another TBGI and script control icon to be presented to the agent, and again monitor the agent's speech to ascertain if an expected speech response is provided by the agent within a second time period. If the agent again fails to respond properly, then data may be written indicating a compliance failure.
Abstract:
To achieve the objects of the present invention, according to an aspect of the present invention, an electronic device is provided which includes a communication unit, an output unit, and a controller that connects a call received through the communication unit, performs an automatic conversation operation to conduct an automatic conversation with a calling party, and selectively performs one of a first operation to terminate the call and a second operation to generate recognition information on the automatic conversation and to output the recognition information based on the automatic conversation.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for CRM audio on hold. In an embodiment of the invention, a CRM audio on hold method includes identifying a caller associated with the telephone call received in a call processing gateway, selecting a record in a CRM application pertinent to the caller and inserting the selected record into a variable field of a template. The method also includes text-to-speech (TTS) processing the template into audio and returning the audio to the call processing gateway for playback to the caller while the caller is on hold.
Abstract:
Usage data associated with a user of a telephonic device is accessed by a remote learning engine. A service or a product is identified by the remote learning engine based on the accessed usage data. A recommended voice bundle application is determined by the remote learning engine. A recommendation associated with the recommended voice bundle application is transmitted to the telephonic device. The recommendation is presented to the user through voice communications. One or more input parameters associated with the recommended voice bundle application is collected by the telephonic device. The user through voice communications has accepted the recommendation determining is determined. In response to determining that the user has accepted the recommendation, the one or more input parameters to the recommended voice bundle application are loaded by the telephonic device, and the recommended voice bundle application is executed by the telephonic device.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method for a mobile terminal to process text, a related device, and a system. The text processing method for a mobile terminal includes: sending a request message, which carries text information and start-processing position information, to a cloud application platform, where the text information includes at least one of or any combination of text to be processed, an obtaining address of the text to be processed, and an identifier of the text to be processed; and when or after receiving a response message, which is returned by the cloud application platform, of the request message, receiving and playing an audio stream from the cloud application platform. The technical solutions provided in the present invention can satisfy a requirement of a user for “listening to” text on a mobile terminal.
Abstract:
A dialog manager for a spoken dialog system. A decision module selects a path from a plurality of alternative paths for a given call, wherein each path implements one of a plurality of strategies for a call flow. A weighting module weights the path selection decision and is connected to a probability estimator for estimating the probability value that a given one of the plurality of paths is the best-performing path.
Abstract:
A method and system for operating a multitenancy telephony system including a call queue that stores call requests received from a plurality of users; an expandable and contractible telephony resource cluster that establishes call sessions for call requests; a analysis system that calculates capacity requirements of the system; a resource allocator that manages the scaling and operation of the telephony resource cluster; and a plurality of telephony network channels that are used as telephony communication channels for call sessions.
Abstract:
A voice-enabled document system facilitates execution of service delivery operations by eliminating the need for manual or visual interaction during information retrieval by an operator. Access to voice-enabled documents can facilitate operations for mobile vendors, on-site or field-service repairs, medical service providers, food service providers, and the like. Service providers can access the voice-enabled documents by using a client device to retrieve the document, display it on a screen, and, via voice commands initiate playback of selected audio files containing information derived from text data objects selected from the document. Data structures that are components of a voice-enabled document include audio playback files and a logical association that links the audio playback files to user-selectable fields, and to a set of voice commands.
