Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire for a bead in which lightening in weight and the increase of ductility are made possible without deteriorating its strength. SOLUTION: The wire for a bead has a composition comprising, by atom, 5 to 35% Mn and 5 to 20% Al, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and has a steel structure composed of an austenite single phase structure. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact-absorbing fibrous rope enduring a falling impact sufficiently, excellent in performance for absorbing the impact load, having less reduction of strength and deterioration of impact-absorbing capacity by repeated uses and suitable as a safety rope for works performed at a high place. SOLUTION: This impact-absorbing fibrous rope of 10-50 mm diameter is characterized by the fact that the fiber constituting the fibrous rope is a polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber having 0.7-1.2 specific viscosity, 4-7 cN/dtex strength, 30-50 % elongation and ≥85 % elongated elastic recovery rate. Further, it is preferable to have ≤9,000 N maximum impact load received by the fibrous rope, when 75 kg sandbag connected to the fibrous rope is dropped from 2.5 m height. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
Abstract:
The invention is directed to materials comprising polylactic acid (PLA). In accordance with the invention, PLA material is stretched in at least the machine direction at a total stretch ratio of 1:4 or more. These materials have excellent biodegradability and find use in horticulture, in particular for tying up plants or parts thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cellulose textile cord (50) having an at least triple twist (T1, T2, T3), comprising at least N strands (20a, 20b, 20c, 20d), where N is greater than 1, which strands are twisted together to a final twist T3 in a final direction D2, each strand being made up of M pre-strands (10a, 10b, 10c), where M is greater than 1, which pre-strands are in turn twisted to an intermediate twist T2 (T2a, T2b, T2c, T2d) in an intermediate direction D1 which is opposite to D2, with every pre-strand consisting of a spun fibre (5) that has been twisted on itself to an initial twist T1 (T1a, T1b, T1c) in the direction D1, wherein at least half the N times M spun fibres are spun cellulose fibres. The textile cord can advantageously be used as reinforcement in vehicle pneumatic tires, especially in the belt or the carcass ply of said pneumatic tires.
Abstract:
Provided are a rubber article reinforcing steel wire that is superior in bending fatigue properties to the related art and has a flat cross-sectional shape, and a rubber article using the wire. In a rubber article reinforcing steel wire 10, a major diameter and a minor diameter are substantially perpendicular to each other. Assuming that the major diameter is W, the minor diameter is T, a straight line that passes through a center of the major diameter in a width direction and is parallel to a minor diameter direction is L1, a straight line that passes through a center of the minor diameter in a width direction and is parallel to a major diameter direction is L2, an intersection point of the L1 and the L2 is a center point C, a region within a half of a distance from the center point C to a surface is a central region Rc, and a region outside the central region Rc is a surface layer region Rs, a Vickers hardness Hvc of the central region Rc is more than a Vickers hardness Hvs of the surface layer region Rs; and assuming that a Vickers hardness on the L1 in the surface layer region Rs is Hv1, and a Vickers hardness on the L2 in the surface layer region Rs is Hv2, relationships represented by Hvc - Hv1 ≤ 150, Hvc - Hv2 ≤ 150, Hv1/Hvc × 100 ≥ 85.11, and Hv2/Hvc × 100 ≥ 79.84 are satisfied.
