Abstract:
A call processing system is disclosed wherein plural platforms are populated with plural voice boards. Each board on the different platforms is populated with different resources, and resources may be allocated from any board and any platform to process calls. In a preferred implementation, a priority system is established so that co-located resources are preferred.
Abstract:
A system, method, and computer program product for dynamically adapting selections in an automatic phone support system is described. The invention may integrate a dynamic knowledge base of responses with the menu selections on an automated phone system or other response system to present the most frequently used items earlier in the option list, or otherwise order options and information. Call data may be captured from single callers or historical ensembles of callers. An automatically generated similarity relationship may be used to initialize the system without historical call data, based on textual similarity or other techniques. Prioritization of options provides a more enjoyable, efficient experience for callers without increasing administrative overhead.
Abstract:
A method implemented in a mobile telephone system in which each subscriber belonging to a group call group and wishing to speak requests a speech item through an interface to the mobile exchange. To avoid problems causes by concurrent requests for a speech transmission turn from two subscribers, the following steps are taken: upon detection of a request for a speech item from a subscriber, priority data specific to the request for a speech item and including a priority is generated, and the mobile exchange switches the speech signal transmitted by that subscriber whose request for a speech item has priority data of the highest priority, for the other subscribers to hear.
Abstract:
An apparatus and associated method employ the concept of a central busy list for coordinating the receipt of incoming calls to a subscriber subscribing to the calling services of separate first and second communication networks. The central busy list apparatus cooperates with the networks to register a current call by a subscriber serviced by the first network, to receive a request for interruption of the call serviced by the first network to allow the subscriber to receive an incoming call to be serviced by the second network, to send a request to disconnect to the first network when a priority of the current call is lower than the priority of the incoming call, and to deny interruption of the current call by the incoming call when the priority of the current call is higher.
