    Abstract: There is provided a process for separating at least one phase transfer agent (PTA) from an organic liquid mixture containing at least one organic solvent and at least one PTA, in which the organic liquid mixture is brought into contact with one surface of a selectively permeable membrane and pressure is applied to the organic liquid mixture which causes a fraction of the organic liquid to permeate through the membrane and exit at the other surface, such that the concentration of the at least one PTA in the fraction of organic liquid which does not permeate the membrane increases while the concentration of the at least one PTA in the fraction of organic liquid which permeates through the membrane is less than the concentration of the at least one PTA in the original mixture.
