Abstract:
A vibratory separator including a screen frame and a screen attachment. The screen attachment including at least one vertically disposed latch on the screen frame, at least one vertically disposed catch on the screen frame, and at least one bearing surface proximate the at least one vertically disposed catch. Additionally, a method of securing adjacent screens including inserting a vertically disposed latch of a first screen into a catch of a second screen, wherein the inserting includes contacting the latch of the first screen with a bearing surface of the second screen adjacent the catch of the second screen. The method further includes forming a planar alignment of the first screen to the second screen.
Abstract:
A screen is described wherein one end of the screen frame is provided with an upwardly open channel profile and the other end with a similar but downwardly open channel profile, such that the outboard edge of an upwardly open profile will fit within the channel of a downwardly open profile provided along the edge of an adjoining screen frame, to enable two such screens to be connected together and to enable linear movement in a direction generally perpendicular to the line of engagement and generally in the plane of at least one of the two screens, to be transmitted from one screen frame to the other. The engagement of one profile by another also serves to close the gap between the two screen frames and prevent at least particulate material from passing therebetween. Preferably the engagement prevents liquid from passing therebetween. The engagement may comprise a lost motion connection so as to permit one frame to be hingeable relative to the other about the connection, but still provides a reliable force-transmitting connection to enable a rear screen frame to be removed from the support structure simply by pulling out the front frame of the pair.
Abstract:
A frame for a screen utilized in a shaker separator (Fig. 1), comprising multiple connected lateral (14, 16, 8, 10) and longitudinal (2, 4, 6) support members.
Abstract:
An assembly for sealing a shaker screen assembly in a shaker separator includes a substantially inflexible gasket affixed to each screen support and a flexible gasket affixed to each screen support such that the screen frame rests atop the gaskets on the support around its periphery. A wedge block retainer bracket is affixed to each side wall of the shaker separator above the corresponding section of the screen frame. A wedge block is selectively drivable into the space between the wedge block retainer bracket and the corresponding section of the screen frame, providing force thereto sufficient to seat the screen frame against the inflexible gasket and to compress the flexible gasket between the screen frame and the screen support, thereby providing a substantially fluid tight seal.
Abstract:
A screen assembly which includes a frame (12; 41), a plurality of openings (33; 55) in the frame, a screen (71, 103) overlying the openings, a plurality of spaced tapered ribs (30; 50) on the opposite side of the frame from the screen, a first end on the frame with a lip (29; 130), and a second end on the frame with a clip (94) thereon. Another embodiment has a first end with a ledge (122) and a second end with an overhanging portion (123), and a seal (120) on the ledge.
Abstract:
A screen arrangement for a vibratory separator comprising a first screen assembly comprising a support structure having a body member (70) with a portion (71) having at least one opening therethrough, and integral side portions (71a, 71b) folded to form a pair of spaced-apart integral side members and a folded end member forming a ledge (73) and a second screen assembly having a body member (70) with a portion (71) having at least one opening therethrough, and integral side portions (71a, 71b) foldable to form a pair of spaced-apart integral side members and a folded end member (75) forming a ledge, wherein a seal member is arranged on one of said folded end member (73,75).
