Abstract:
A device designed to control opening and closing of a trunk hood comprises a jack whereof the cylinder is pivotably linked to the vehicle body and the free end of the piston rod sliding in the cylinder is linked to the hood in articulation. The device further has a control member arranged between the hood and the free end of the piston rod and designed to detect a force in the direction closing the hood and to control actuation of the jack in the direction for closing the hood.
Abstract:
A safety structure for a cover device includes a base assembly and a cover assembly. The base assembly has a concave portion. The cover assembly is hinged to the base assembly and may cover the base assembly. The cover assembly has a cover body and a projection, which may elastically protrude out of and retract into the cover body, and may be fit into the concave portion for positioning. The projection is configured such that it may retract into the cover body to prevent an object from being hurt when the cover assembly is placed down and touches the object.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a simply designed and easy-to-operate brake retardation apparatus in which a push rod is moveable in guides of a housing and possesses a section formed as a gear rack which meshes with a pinion of a shock absorber also retained in the housing.
Abstract:
The electro-mechanical drive includes an electric motor, a transmission and a restoring spring. To improve the capacity to close the door, particularly in the event of a power failure, a large coil spring used as the restoring spring surrounds the electric motor and transmission. The electric motor is short circuited when not powered in order to create a generator effect with consequent damping during movement of the door.
Abstract:
A track has walls which enclose a hollow interior and among these walls are two laterally directed flanges which are separated by a slot that opens downwardly out of the track for the full length of the track. The track contains trolleys having wheels which roll along flanges of the track and the trolleys carry hangers which depend through the slot in the track and are attached to a door or some other suspended device. One of the trolleys also carries a latching mechanism which engages a keeper located within the track to secure the trolleys and suspended device in a predetermined position along the track. The latching mechanism includes a latch bar which pivots on the trolley between engage and release position and a spring which urges the bar to its engage position--the position in which it will engage the keeper upon encountering the keeper. The latching mechanism also includes a release cord which depends from its latch bar through the slot in the track and, when pulled, causes the latch bar to pivot against the bias of the spring.
Abstract:
A drive mechanism comprises a support upon which a drive member is mounted for movement relative to a frame. The drive member comprises first and second elements which are relatively movable, the one of which may be mounted on the other. The elements are interconnected by a resilient member which transmits the drive therethrough, a drive input being coupled to a one element, a drive output to the other element. A detector generates a signal output responsive to relative movement of the elements which may serve to control a drive transmitted through the mechanism. In a preferred embodiment, the support is a rotatable screwed shaft and the first element a traveller thereon upon which the second element is slidably mounted, the elements being interconnected by helical springs.
Abstract:
An electromagnetic door holding device for a door closer of the type having a spring operated rotating spindle operatively connected by an arm to a slider mounted for reciprocal movement in a track usually secured to the door frame wherein the slider has a cam which when the door is swung to a fully opened position engages and is held by an electromagnet against movement relative to the slider when the door attempts to return to a closed position and which engages and moves a detent carried by the slider into engagement with detent engaging means in the track so as to prevent movement of the slider relative to the track and thus releaseably hold the door in the open position. The energizing of the electromagnet allows the spring to move the cam out of engagement with the detent and thus permit the slider to move and enable the door to move to a closed position.
