Abstract:
A clamp (100) for sanitary fittings includes a clamp body (110) formed of a first arcuate member (112) and a second arcuate member (114) movable about a hinge assembly (116) from an open configuration to a closed, latched configuration. The hinge assembly detachably couples the first arcuate member to the second arcuate member. The hinge assembly includes an arcuate finger (143) extending from an end of the first arcuate member, a pin receiving recess (144) formed within the arcuate finger (124), and a post (154) formed on an end of the second arcuate member. Upon assembly, the arcuate finger cradles around the post and the post fits within the pin receiving recess.
Abstract:
Λ method of making a hose is provided that includes providing a fitting configured to receive a hose liner therethrough and configured to receive a material configured to be bonded to the hose liner. The method includes receiving the material in the fitting, drawing the hose liner through the fitting, and bonding the material to the hose liner such that the hose liner and material arc secured to an outer face of the fitting.
Abstract:
Apparatus (1) for transferring incoherent or liquid material from a discharge station (S1) to a collection station (S2) is provided with a tubular conduit (6) located between said stations (S1, S2), and a tubular bag (9) for transferring the material from the discharge station (S1) to the collection station (S2); the tubular bag (9) develops longitudinally inside the conduit (6) between the discharge station (S1) and the collection station (S2), and is kept adherent to the conduit (6) likewise an interior coating of same conduit (6) by a pneumatic device (24, 31) which exhibits a suction region distributed along the conduit (6) between two longitudinal ends (7) of same conduit (6).
Abstract:
Provided is a means for efficiently completing a high pressure seal and a connector assembly comprising two sealing members, each comprising an annular groove, and two elastomeric gasket members, each disposed into and fittingly received by the annular grooves of one of said sealing members, each gasket additionally comprising a sealing face not received into the annular grooves, wherein the sealing faces are in mutual aligned pressurized contact.
Abstract:
In manufacturing a hose, a liner composed of a polymeric material is provided, as is a rubber outer body. The liner is reduced in diameter, placed into a the outer body, and secured to the rubber outer body by thermal treatment.
Abstract:
Abstract:
In a method and a device (10) for contamination-free and/or sterile sealing between two interconnectable connecting means (4, 5) with opposing openings (8) to allow, after the interconnection, transfer of a fluid between them, sealing elements (11, 12) are arranged on the connecting means around the openings and provided with protective films (13) covering the sealing elements and the openings and adapted to be removed in the final interconnection. The sealing elements are each provided with at least one recess (16, 17) , which in a cooperating manner extends wholly or partly around the associated opening and receives a gas. In the interconnection of the connecting means, the sealing elements are moved into engagement with each other, interleaved with the protective films, to reduce the volume of the recesses and, thus, increase the pressure of the gas therein. In the subsequent quick removal of the protective films, the gas flows out of the recesses to the environment to prevent penetration of contamination into the openings in the final interconnection of the connecting means.
Abstract:
A connector apparatus designed for use in a bioprocessing assembly, and a method for coupling a piece of bioprocessing equipment to a media source in a sterilized environment. The connector apparatus includes a coupler including an end and at least one outlet, and a connector valve connectable at a first end to a fluid source, the connector valve including a valve member, the valve member being partially disposed within the coupler. The connector apparatus further includes a flow passage being actuatable from a closed configuration to an open configuration when the coupler and the connector valve are engaged, as well as being actuatable from an open configuration to a closed configuration. A clip member attached to the coupler allows the valve member to be moved from the closed configuration to the open configuration, and from the open configuration to the closed configuration.
Abstract:
A pipe union (1, 2, 3) for sterile purposes has a prior art sealing ring seat (5) with a virtually circular cross-sectional surface. The shape of the cross section of the sealing ring (4) differs from that of the sealing ring seat (5) in such a way that there are hollow spaces between the sealing ring (4) and its seat (5) on both sides. On fitting, the pressure exerted laterally on the sealing ring causes it to be deformed inside the hollow spaces. The sealing ring therefore forms a flat cross-sectional area which evenly fills the gap between the two pipe ends (14) and (24), thus preventing the formation of dead spaces inside the pipe union.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a sterile connection member and a sterile connection apparatus. The sterile connection member includes a main body. A first surface of the main body is connected to an external pipeline. A fluid channel is arranged inside the main body. The fluid channel penetrates from the first surface to a second surface of the main body. The second surface includes at least one first hook and/or at least one second hook. The first hook is matched with a second hook of the main body of another sterile connection member to form a buckle connection, and/or the second hook is matched with a first hook of the main body of another sterile connection member to form a buckle connection. The sterile connection member further includes an unlocking hole formed in the main body and communicating with the buckle connection.
