PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separately display the sound volumes of microphones at respective points by respective image and sound terminals even in a multipoint conference performed by connecting remote places of three or more points.SOLUTION: A multipoint connection unit 200 comprises: image and sound signal receiving means 201 for receiving an image and sound signal from an image and sound terminal 100; sound volume value calculation means 205 for calculating a sound volume value from the image and sound signal; sound volume display image generating means 207 for generating a sound volume display image indicating a sound volume from the sound volume value; layout setting information receiving means 209 for receiving layout setting information indicating layout information on an image to be displayed on the image and sound terminal; composite image and sound signal generation means 211 for composing the image and sound signal and the sound volume display image according to the layout setting information to generate a composite image and sound signal; and transmission means 215 for transmitting the image and sound signal to the image and sound terminal.

A system for publishing digital content is described which, in one embodiment, includes a beacon device associated with a first user configured to transmit identification information and information indicating its current position. A browsing device includes a display configured and adapted to display to a second user a representation of a local geographical area, and to selectively display to the second user content information associated with the first user, based at least in part on whether the location of the beacon device is within the local geographical area.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize displaying of images of higher resolution on large-screen external display means in a peripheral device connected to a mobile information communicating device than the image resolution of a display annexed to the mobile information communicating device only by addition of means of interfacing with the peripheral device and display data generating means with which the annexed display is intrinsically provided.SOLUTION: A mobile information communicating device whose display control means for controlling pixels on an annexed display panel is provided with data processing means that outputs digital display signals is so configured that, in addition to interfacing means that transmits external display signals to a peripheral device including external display means on the basis of digital display signals received from the data processing means, the data processing means and the interfacing means work together to realize a function to transmit the external display signals of high resolution from the interfacing means.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a call destination from determining absence that is erroneous determination by allowing the destination to recognize that a response to an incoming call requires time.SOLUTION: The presence transmission method of an embodiment includes: controlling origination to the destination device of a call and incoming from the destination device via a network; transmitting a presence, which indicates the present situation of a user, via the network; performing prescribed functions; and transmitting via the network, the presence indicating an effect that a situation requires time for call changeover when a specific function for requiring time in a response to an incoming call is performed among the prescribed functions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method, a system and a server for automatically discovering the common Multimedia Service Capability, and computer program. This solution avoid unnecessary use of the radio interface and is based on making use of the circuit switched network, e.g. the Intelligent network IN, as trigger to the packet switched network to find out about the calling as well as the called user's multimedia capabilities during a voice call. If there is a positive capability discovery result out of this for both users, the network will send a message to each of the two mobile phones that they should notify the users e.g. by displaying an icon above a soft button. It can be that the phone displays a shared multimedia-Image icon, if this was the only commonly supported capability of both users, up to a whole range of more or less complicated SMM services.

In a multimedia call center (MMCC) operating through an operating system, a client-specific self-help wizard is provided for active clients and updated periodically with information related to client transaction history with the MMCC. A connected client is presented by the wizard with a selective media function through which the client may a select a media type for interaction and help, and the MMCC will then re-contact the client through the selected media. The client, for example, may select IP or COST telephony, and the MMCC will place a call to the client to a number or IP address listed for the client, and interactivity will then be through an interactive voice response unit. Help information specific to a client is updated in the client's wizard periodically according to ongoing transaction history with the MMCC. The wizard may also monitor client activity with the wizard and make reports available to various persons.
