Abstract: A method of material identification is disclosed. The method comprised the following step: transmission a detected material using a high-energy radiation and a low-energy radiation to acquire a high-energy transmission imaging and a low-energy transmission imaging. Each of pixels values in the high-energy imaging express a high-energy diaphaneity of the high-energy radiation for a corresponding portion of the detected material. And each of pixels values in the low-energy imaging expresses a low-energy diaphaneity of the low-energy radiation for a corresponding portion of the detected material. Calculating a first function value of the high-energy diaphaneity and a second function value of the high-energy diaphaneity and the low-energy diaphaneity for every pixels. And classifying on the basic of the location determined by the first function value and the second function value through using a classification curve beforehand established, to identify the type of material corresponding with each of pixels in the detected material. A device of material identification comprised an imaging device, a calculating device and a classifying device.

Wherein, the horizontal cantilever and the vertical cantilever for detector arrays could be swung by the post between the retractive position where the cantilevers are retracted to the upper of the moving means and the extended position where the cantilevers are extended to the outer of the moving means. The vertical cantilever in the inspecting system needn't be folded during the moving period or the scanning inspection period.
