This invention relates to perfluoroalkyl group terminated urethanes, thiourethanes and ureas of the general formula(R--X--CONH).sub.m Awhere m is 1, 2 or 3, R is R.sub.f --E and optionally R.sub.1 with the proviso that at least one R is R.sub.f --E, R.sub.f is a perfluoroalkyl group, R.sub.1 is a hydrocarbon group, E is a divalent linking group, X is --O--, --S--, --NR.sub.2 -- and R.sub.2 is H or lower alkyl and A is R.sub.f E or R.sub.1 if m is 1 and a divalent or trivalent linking group if m is 2 or 3 respectively. Compounds of this general formula are useful as solid lubricants or as additives for waxes and resins providing lubricating properties.

A grease composition for a constant velocity joint contains a base oil containing 2 to 25 wt. % of a thickener based on total weight of the composition, 0.5 to 20 wt. % of boron nitride powders based on total weight of the composition, and 0.1 to 10 wt. % of an extreme pressure agent based on total weight of the composition selected from the group consisting of molybdenum dithiocarbamate, a sulfur and phosphorus-containing extreme pressure agent, and mixtures thereof. The boron nitride powders have mean particle size of more than 5 .mu.m and not more tha 20 .mu.m.

Disclosed is a lubricating composition for hot-rolling steel, which comprises a base oil or base grease and a heat-insulating agent. Especially, (A) an inorganic compound which is melted by an absorption of heat at a temperature lower than 1200.degree. C. and (B) an inorganic powder which is not melted or decomposed at a temperature lower than 1200.degree. C. and has a heat conductivity lower than 0.01 cal/cm.s. .degree.C. at room temperature and a friction coefficient smaller than 0.7 are incorporated in specific amounts singly or in combination in the composition. This lubricating composition has an excellent heat-insulating effect and effectively prevents the thermal crown of a work roll.
