Abstract: A method for detecting liquid article by dual energy CT is disclosed. The method comprises the following steps of performing dual energy CT scanning and CT reconstructing of the detected liquid article, obtaining one layer or more layers of CT image having physical property data of the detected liquid article, acquiring the physical property data of each detected liquid article from the CT image through image processing and analysis, and comparing the obtained physical property data with the reference physical property data of the liquid article to estimate the presence of a drug in the detected liquid article. A device for detecting liquid article by dual energy CT is disclosed also. The device comprises a radiation source(10), a detector and data collector(30), a controller(50), a computer data processor(60), the computer data processor(60) includes a device for showing the CT image of a physical property data of the detected liquid article from a projection data reconstructing and a device for estimating whether the detected liquid article is a suspicious article based on the physical property data and the reference physical property data of the liquid article.
