A hand dryer assembly including a blower assembly for generating a moving air stream. The moving air stream passes through an air channel to an air outlet where it exits the hand dryer assembly. An ionization assembly is disposed along the air channel and emits charged ions directly into the moving air stream, sanitizing the hands of the user, the moving air steam, and the ambient air that is entrained into the moving air stream.

The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for removal of particulate matter from a gas. The proposed apparatus (1) comprises an inlet (2) for receiving a contaminated gas (6a) comprising particulate matter, and for inducing a swirl to said contaminated gas (6a). A cyclonic separation stage (3) including a first flow-path (7) is provided for separating a portion of the particulate matter from the swirl-induced contaminated gas (6a) by centrifugal action, to produce a partially clean gas (6b). An ionization stage (4) including a second flow-path (8) is provided for ionizing the particulate matter remaining in the partially clean gas (6b) by producing a corona discharge in the second flow-path (8). A particle collection stage (5) including a third flow-path (9) is provided for separating the ionized particulate matter from the gas by means of an electric field across the third flow-path (9), to produce a clean gas (6c). The ionization stage (4) and the particle collection stage (5) are arranged such that the third flow-path (8) has an increased cross-sectional area relative to the second flow-path (8).

Halterung für eine elektrostatische Hochspannungselektrode (13) beinhaltend einen Hochspannungsisolator (31), elektrodenseitig des Isolators (31) zumindest einen Arm (15, 16, 17, 18) mit einem Haltemittel (27) zum Halten einer am Haltemittel (27) bevorzugt vertikal hängenden Hochspannungselektrode, und montageseitig des Isolators (31) zumindest ein Montagemittel zur Montage der Halterung an einer Montagestelle (40) ausserhalb eines Abgaskanals (9) eines Kamins dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Halterung mit wenigstens einem Rückstellelement (43, 55, 56, 57, 59) ausgestattet ist, welches eine gelenkige Verbindung zwischen dem zumindest einen Montagemittel und dem Haltemittel (27) bildet und welches bei der Reinigung im Abgaskanal (9) mit einem Reinigungsgerät ein Ausweichen des Haltemittels und gegebenenfalls einer daran angebrachten Hochspannungselektrode aus der Betriebsposition und ein selbsttätiges Rückstellen in die Betriebsposition ermöglicht.

본 발명은 공기중의 먼지와 음식조리 중에 발생하는 기름이 함유된 연기 및 공장가동시 발생하는 매연을 제거하는 집진필터 및 이를 구비하는 전기집진장치에 관한 것으로서, 전하가 방출되는 방전봉이 형성된 방전전극과 먼지가 부착되는 집진전극으로 크게 구성되고 집진전극은 플레이트에 끼워져 일정한 규격을 갖도록 구성된다. 이러한 구성에 의하여 소형화에 따라 높은 정화효율을 갖고, 기계적 강도가 높으며, 파손된 부위만 수선 또는 교체가 가능하고, 집진유닛과 방전유닛을 분리하여 관리가 용이한 장점이 있다. 그리고 집진필터의 규격화에 의하여 설치용량에 따라 집진필터를 복수, 또는 다층으로 장착할 수 있어 손쉽게 다양한 장소에 적응이 가능하며 대형화시키는 설계변경이 가능하다. 또한, 필터의 작동상태를 항상 점검할 수 있으며, 전기 접속구가 도어의 내면에 형성되어 도어의 개폐에 따라 자동으로 집진필터와 전원공급부가 스위칭된다.

The invention relates to a system of cyclones with electrostatically enhanced recirculation, comprising a collector cyclone (Col) with diameter D1 and an entry for dirty gases (GS), located upstream from a recirculator (Con) with diameter D2 and a central channel for exhausting the cleaned gases (GL), these cyclones being placed in series and having a recirculation line, from the concentrator to the collector, to recirculate part of the gas stream. It is characterized in that there are means, in the recirculator, for applying a high voltage (AT, ) producing an ionizing electric field that drives the particles away from the central exhaust channel, without any significant particle deposition on the recirculator walls. The current density in the recirculator field is below 0.1 mA/m2 and the average electric field is below 2xl05 V/m. According to the process of the invention, the particles are driven away from the central exhaust channel, in the recirculator, by the joint action of mechanical and electrical forces, these latter deriving from the particles traversing the ionized field, concentrating them in the fraction of the gas stream that is recycled back to the collector cyclone, where a part is captured (P). It is used for dedusting and dry gas cleaning, especially for acid gases, and for capturing bacteria.

A discharge electrode made of at least two parts. One part is the mast, which is made from substantially non-electrically conductive material, such as a CPVC pipe. The second part is a spike-carrying elongated member, such as a wire, made of substantially electrically conductive material, with sharpened spikes extending from the wire. The spike-carrying elongated member is attached to the mast, such as by winding around the mast in a helical pattern, and connected to an electrical device. The spikes extend away from the mast.
