Abstract:
Disclosed is a bead wire which has the following chemical composition: Mn: 5 to 35 at%; and Al: 5 to 20 at%, with the remainder being Fe and unavoidable impurities, and has an austenite single-phase structure as the steel texture. In the bead wire, the reduction in weight and the improvement in drawability can be achieved without reducing strength.
Abstract:
According to the invention, the elastic link for adjusting the distance between two members, at least one of which is mobile, is characterised in that it comprises at least two elastic yarns (1, 2) each attached through one of the opposite ends thereof to two points (6-7; 6-8; 6-9; 6-10) distant from each other of an intermediate portion (5a) of a strap (5) located between the extreme portions (5b, 5c) of the latter, under conditions such that when a tensile force is applied on said strap, the first elastic yarn (1) is stretched first, the second elastic yarn being then stretched based on the magnitude of the applied tensile force.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an abrasion resistant fabric containing ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) filaments and thermotropic liquid crystal polymers (LCP), the use thereof as protective means and to a protective cover containing said fabric. In particular, the invention relates to a rope and to a roundsling containing the protective cover.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Novel polyethylene multifilament yarn having high strength and high modulus and being substantially free from cohesion between single yarns is provided by a novel process which comprises employing a dry-wet spinning or gel-wet spinning method, drying single yarns containing an extractant separately from each other by vibrating them using a turbulent air flow, and heat-treating them under tension at temperatures in a specific range before drawing.
