Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an irrigated catheter ablation apparatus with multiple segmented ablation segments.SOLUTION: An irrigated catheter ablation apparatus 10 comprises: an elongated body having a distal end 12, a proximal end, and at least one fluid lumen 13 extending longitudinally therein; and a plurality of segmented ablation electrodes 16 on a distal portion of the elongated body. The electrodes are separated from the proximal end and the distal end of the elongated body by electrically nonconductive segments 18. The electrodes are separated from each other longitudinally by electrically nonconductive segments. For each electrode that is longitudinally disposed next to one of the nonconductive segments, an edge 20 is formed between an electrode end of the electrode and a nonconductive segment end of the nonconductive segment. A plurality of elution holes 22 are disposed adjacent to the edges. A plurality of ducts establish fluid communication between the elution holes and the fluid lumen.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear member capable of acquiring a high elongation rate and having excellent restitutive force; and a personal adornment using the same. SOLUTION: The linear member 10 has a base body 12 with a plurality of wires 11 made of a superelastic shape-memory alloy, which is spirally wound in the direction of disposition of the wires, and a space is formed on the inner side of the base body 12. The pitch P of the spiral winding of the linear member whose outer diameter is D is preferably in the range of: -0.191D 2 +1.03D-0.427≤P≤3.44D 2 -5.06D+2.32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
