Abstract: A hydraulic system has a pump (1) with at least one load (4, 5) and accompanying bi-directional valves (8, 8a). A first comparator (A) establishes which motor line (6, 7) is carrying the higher load pressure. A second comparator (B) establishes whether the input-side motor line (6, 7) allocated a directional signal identifying the direction of the valve displacement is carrying the higher pressure or whether a load (4, 5) is being operated with negative loading. Depending on the result of the comparison, the load pressure signal (y1, y2) can be processed differently.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to an active balancing valve for a refrigeration and/or air-conditioning application. The valve comprises a valve housing (1) with an inlet orifice (11), an outlet orifice (12) and a mounting portion (13), a main valve element with a main pressure balance orifice and a control element at least partially defining a pressure balance passage. Each element is slidable inside the valve housing and comprises a control surface for controlling a fluid flow between the inlet orifice and the outlet orifice. The control element closes the main pressure balance orifice of the main valve element in a closed state of the valve.

Abstract: Expansion valve, in particular for a heating and/or cooling application, comprising a movable plug (1) and a valve seat, wherein the distance between the plug and the valve seat defines a valve opening. The magnetic bearing system includes an axial magnetic bearing, which itself includes a first permanent magnet configured to generate a first bias flux, a second permanent magnet axially spaced-apart from the first permanent magnet and configured to generate a second bias flux, and an electromagnet. The electromagnet includes a coil arranged radially outward of the first and second permanent magnets, and the electromagnet is configured to selectively generate either a first control flux or a second control flux to apply a force to the shaft in a first axial direction or second axial direction opposite the first axial direction, respectively.

Abstract: A method for controlling a vapour compression system (1) is disclosed. The vapour compression system (1) comprises an ejector (4), and has a non-return valve (11) arranged in the refrigerant path between an outlet (12) of an evaporator (7) and an inlet (10) of a compressor unit (2), in such a manner that a refrigerant flow from the outlet (12) of the evaporator (7) towards the inlet (10) of the compressor unit (2) is allowed, while a fluid flow from the inlet (10) of the compressor unit (2) towards the outlet (12) of the evaporator (7) is prevented. A pressure, P0, of refrigerant leaving the evaporator (7) is measured and a value being representative for a pressure, Psuc, of refrigerant entering the compressor unit (2) is obtained. The pressures, P0 and Psuc, are compared to respective reference pressure values, P0,ref and Psuc,ref. In the case that ε0>εsuc, where ε0=P0-P0,ref and εsuc=Psuc-Psuc,ref, the compressor unit (2) is controlled based on P0, and in the case that εsuc>ε0, the compressor unit (2) is controlled based on Psuc.
