Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to locate his or her vehicle wherever the vehicle may be parked.SOLUTION: A vehicle search system 10 for locating a vehicle 16 includes a mobile terminal unit 14 and a communication device 12 on-board the vehicle 16. The mobile terminal unit 14 includes a screen 74, and imports map information and displays a present location of the mobile terminal unit 14 on a map 17. The mobile terminal unit 14 imports the current location of the vehicle 16 from the communication device 12, and displays the location of the vehicle 16 and the location of the mobile terminal unit 14 on the map 17 at the same time. When the mobile terminal unit 14 is located within a predetermined range from the vehicle 16, an operation button 707 for actuating a horn and lights of the vehicle is displayed on the screen 74.
Abstract:
A mobile telephone terminal has a configuration in which it is possible to prevent a wrong operation of the mobile phone terminal due to an unconscious touch with a touch panel during a telephone call without restricting available function during the telephone call. That is, the mobile telephone terminal includes a touch panel unit 104 for inputting information and a telephone call determining means 201 which judges whether the mobile telephone terminal is in a telephone call mode. Furthermore, the mobile phone terminal includes an approach detecting means 202 which outputs a wave and detects receiving of the wave as approaching of an object. Furthermore, the mobile phone terminal includes an input controlling means 203 which carries out a control to make information, which is inputted from the touch panel unit 104, ineffective in the case that the telephone call determining means 201 judges that the mobile phone terminal is in the telephone call mode and the approach detecting means 202 detects approaching of the object.
Abstract:
A system and method for maximizing efficiency of call transfer from being between a customer and a dialing agent, to being between the customer and a talker is provided. The method contains the steps of: entering a dialing agent and a talker into a campaign to maintain direct communication with the dialing agent and with the talker; calling a customer via use of a dialing agent device; receiving from the dialing agent a request to transfer a connected customer from communicating with the dialing agent to communicating with a talker; and after receiving the request to transfer, transmitting an identification of a customer record associated with the connected customer to a talker computer for identifying the customer record, where the customer record has been previously stored on the talker computer prior to receiving the request to transfer.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed that coordinates the presentation of speech signals and screen images to a receiver of a call, without some of the costs, disadvantages, and limitations of techniques in the prior art. The illustrative embodiment of the present invention builds upon the infrastructure of the Session Initiation Protocol (or "SIP") to distribute and transfer calls to agents who are associated with a call center or contact center system. A server-based system is used in conjunction with call distribution based on SIP to replace some desktop and agent computer/telephony integration arrangements, thereby providing first-party call control. Customer-related information is embedded in the call transfer itself; as a result, the display of the customer-related information occurs at the agent's telecommunications terminal at the same time the call arrives.
