Abstract:
Systems, devices, and methods of filtering water include a dome shaped lid and middle disk to separate filtration media materials. The domed shaped lid eliminates air locks in the filter media that can slow or stop the filtration process. A flow control output port regulates the flow level and flow speed of the filtered water. An angled flow output port improves flow by accelerating flow at an angled bottom section of the filter. Water permeable filter bag materials house the filter media. An additional washing process improves the taste of the filtered water. A color change resin in the mixed bed resin indicates expiration of the filter. Similarly, a filter expiration indicator assists users in determining when a filter should be replaced. An integrated TDS meter is used for testing the filtered water. The devices can be used individually or in combination to provide performance improvements.
Abstract:
A water purification system includes a high temperature water tank, a flameless heat source, a cylindrical vessel (hydrocyclone nest), a first pump, a steam production meter, and a steam condenser and heat exchanger. The contaminated water is heated within the high temperature water tank using the flameless heat source. The heated contaminated water heats the cylindrical vessel and one or more sets of hydrocyclones. The heated contaminated water is pumped into the cylindrical vessel such that the heated contaminated water enters a tangential inlet of the hydrocyclones, the hydrocyclones separate the heated contaminated water into steam and solids/concentrate, the steam exits through an overflow of the hydrocyclones and a first outlet of the cylindrical vessel, the solids/concentrate exit through an underflow of the hydrocyclones and a second outlet of the cylindrical vessel. The steam is condensed into purified water using the steam condenser and heat exchanger.
Abstract:
The invention relates to purification systems for a liquid, mainly water, used for household and/or drinking water supply in household and/or industrial environments, in summer houses and gardens. The liquid purification system comprises a source liquid supply, a purified liquid feed line to a consumer, a liquid purification unit including a liquid-liquid type container consisting of a body and a means that defines a storage cavity for purified liquid and a displacement cavity, said means disposed within the body, at least one liquid purification means, a drainage line and a liquid flow control system including a source liquid feed section and a purified liquid feed section, and is configured such that, in the liquid purification unit, the liquid flow control system is configured with a source liquid distribution section arranged for maintaining liquid pressure in the displacement cavity intended mainly for source liquid. The object of invention and technical result achieved by the use of the invention consist in designing a novel liquid purification system which provides improving reliability of the liquid purification system and simplifying its structure, while improving its performance properties, in particular by providing the purified liquid feed to the consumer at any stage of the liquid purification process and after the latter is completed.
Abstract:
A system for limiting the flow from a dispensing valve when a dispensing cartridge is replaced with the system including a dispenser cartridge with a cam and a water socket with a flow limiter therein that is activeable in response to the position of the dispenser cartridge in the dispensing valve and operable in response to an upstream fluid pressure in the dispensing valve.
Abstract:
A mobile processing system is disclosed for the removal of radioactive contaminants from nuclear process waste water. The system is fully scalable, modular, and portable allowing the system to be fully customizable according the site-specific remediation requirements. It is designed to be both transported and operated from standard sized intermodal containers or custom designed enclosures for increased mobility between sites and on-site, further increasing the speed and ease with which the system may be deployed. Additionally, the system is completely modular wherein the various different modules perform different forms or stages of waste water remediation and may be connected in parallel and/or in series. Depending on the needs of the particular site, one or more different processes may be used. In some embodiments, one or more of the same modules may be used in the same operation.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for combined controlling chlorinators and pumps for pools and spas are provided. Exemplary embodiments can include a pump operable to circulate a fluid for a specified time period according to a pump operation time setting and a chlorinator operatively coupled to the pump. The chlorinator can be configured to generate chlorine based on a chlorine output setting, a chlorine generation capacity of the chlorinator, and the pump operation time. A controller can be operatively coupled to the chlorinator and the pump and can be programmed to control the chlorinator and the pump based on a relationship between the chlorine output setting, a chlorine generation capacity of the chlorinator, and the pump operation time.
Abstract:
An enabling element for a flow shut-off valve in a replaceable cartridge filter system comprises a base and an operating portion which are axially contiguous, the operating portion being at least partially insertable into a valve passage of the shut-off valve in order to interact with a normally closed plug housed in the valve passage and move it to the open position. The operating portion of the enabling element has a radial and axial deformability which is greater than the radial deformability of the base.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a filter device. The filter device includes a filter housing including an inflow port, through which ballast water flows in, and an outflow port through which the ballast water flows out, a plurality of filter members provided in the filter housing to filter out a foreign substance included in the ballast water, and a backwashing unit coupled to at least one of the plurality of filter members to filter out the foreign substance by using a difference internal pressure and atmospheric pressure. The backwashing unit is provided for the ballast water to flow in so that when it is required for the backwashing unit to remove the foreign substance, at least one of the plurality of filter members coupled to the backwashing unit filters out the foreign substance included in the ballast water.
