Abstract:
A removable boat windshield is provided that includes a transparent pane with a top end and a bottom end. At least one male portion is attached to the pane. At least one female portion is attachable to a deck of a boat. The at least one female portion defines a receiving opening for receiving at least a portion of the at least one male portion therein. The removable boat windshield also includes a securement device, operable with the at least one female portion, to releasably connect the male portion to the female portion.
Abstract:
An attachment system for attaching a flexible enclosure to a boat windshield frame includes a frame trim piece with a longitudinally and transversely extending groove retaining a resilient insert. The insert has a pair of legs extending from one end of a shank and touching to conceal the groove. A screw snap stud can be inserted at any selected position along the groove to self-tap into the walls of the groove and releasably retain a cooperating fastener on the flexible enclosure. If the stud is removed, the insert legs return to the original position. Alternatively, the insert is not used or the insert does not include the legs.
Abstract:
A blade retaining clip and a blade assembly for axially securing a root portion of a blade component within an axially extending slot of a rotating disk. The blade retaining clip includes a shank portion, a first end portion and a second end portion. The shank portion includes an axial downwardly curved profile. The first end portion and the second end portion are integrally formed at opposed ends of the shank portion. The first end portion and the second end portion are configured to secure the root portion of the blade component within the axially extending slot of the rotating disk. The axial downward curvature of the shank portion minimized operating stresses at the first end portion and the second end portion and subsequent failure of the blade retaining clip.
Abstract:
A separator tank for separating and trapping contaminants in rainwater and runoff is disclosed. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the separator tank comprises a container having a bottom wall, side wall, and top wall defining an internal chamber; an insert located inside of the internal chamber, the insert comprising a weir defining an intake area between the weir and the side wall; and a round-edged orifice positioned within the intake area; an inlet conduit for introducing an influent liquid into the intake area; wherein the weir is positioned such that the weir induces the influent liquid to flow in a swirling motion within the intake area. According to another embodiment of the present invention an insert for a separator tank is disclosed. The insert includes a weir defining an intake area for receiving an influent liquid; and a round-edged orifice positioned within the intake area.
Abstract:
A receive-side client interface for a media access controller embedded in an integrated circuit having programmable logic is described. A media access controller core includes a receive engine. A receive-side datapath is coupled to the media access controller core. The receive-side datapath configured is configured to operate at two frequencies to accommodate the programmable logic in the integrated circuit.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatuses for producing time delays in optical signals are provided. The methods, systems, and apparatuses allow the time it takes for an individual light beam to travel an individual light path to be varied. In one example, the apparatuses have an array of actuator elements and first and second optical elements arranged such that the time it takes for an individual light beam to travel an individual light path between the array of actuator elements and the first and second optical elements is variable.
Abstract:
A DNA sequence which encodes a human type α platelet derived growth factor receptor protein which preferentially binds to the AA homodimer and AB heterodimer forms of platelet derived growth factor and also binds the BB homodimer at high affinity, is described. Substantially pure human a platelet derived growth factor receptor protein and methods for recombinantly producing human α platelet derived growth factor receptor protein are also described.
