    Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a motor for an electric power steering system according to an embodiment of the present invention, the motor including a stator on which a plurality of coils are wound and a rotor, which is placed inside the stator and into which a plurality of magnets are inserted, the plurality of coils being divided into two coil groups, the apparatus includes: a first controller configured to control supply of power applied to a first coil group that is one of the two coil groups; a second controller configured to control supply of power applied to a second coil group that is the other one of the two coil groups; and a boost converter configured to compensate for a difference between power output from the first controller and power output from the second controller.

    Abstract: A driver circuit for driving an electrical motor coil is provided which comprises combined switched inductance boost voltage converter circuitry and switched inductance buck voltage converter circuitry. An input node of the driver circuit is provided to be coupled with the electrical motor coil, which provides the inductive element of both the boost and buck circuitry. Further the boost and buck circuitry share a storage capacitor, which provides the capacitive element of each circuitry, and a voltage developed across the storage capacitor by the boost circuitry forms an input of the switched inductance buck voltage converter circuitry. Bidirectional driving of the electrical motor coil is thus provided from a driver circuit which only need be supplied with a single unidirectional supply and the current drawn from that supply is significantly reduced because of the manner in which the boost and buck circuitry operate synergistically to recycle electrical power which is moved back and forth between the electrical motor coil and the storage capacitor. A corresponding driver board, electrical motor driver apparatus, method of operating a driver circuit and apparatus are also provided.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for operating an electric motor, comprising selectively energising the coils of a stator having a plurality of stator teeth, each stator tooth having a said coil mounted thereon. The stator coils of a subset of the stator teeth are energised during a given time period to attract a corresponding rotor tooth into alignment with each of the stator teeth in the subset over the given time period. The stator coil of at least one stator tooth in the subset is energised during a portion of the given time period before the at least one stator tooth overlaps the corresponding rotor tooth.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a wireless remote control circuit, comprising a control module, a drive circuit connected with control module, a signal receiving circuit and an operation circuit.     Abstract: An electric power tool includes a voltage step-up condition setting operation unit that serves as a human machine interface and a voltage converter capable of performing a voltage step-up operation to raise a voltage supplied from a power supply and supply a raised voltage to a motor. The voltage converter is further capable of changing a voltage step-up level in the voltage step-up operation in accordance with the operation of the voltage step-up condition setting operation unit. A driving state detection unit generates a driving state signal corresponding to a driving state of the electric power tool. A control unit controls a stop timing of the motor in accordance with the driving state signal.
