In a process for manufacturing a carbon-carbon component, in particular a brake disk, a porous substrate in the shape of a brake disk (32) is formed exclusively from carbon fibres. Holes (34), whose axes are parallel to the axis of rotation (36) of the disk, are made in the substrate and are arranged on concentric circles (38) centred on said axis of rotation. Areas (42) free of holes are provided around keyways (40) in the disk. The substrate is then compregnated by CVD. The holes in the substrate reduce the path of the gas in the substrate.

A laser source (100) is intended for an apparatus for simultaneously interacting with a plurality of atomic species within time intervals shared by said species. The laser source includes: - a laser radiation generation assembly (1); - an optical amplifier (2); and - a frequency doubling assembly (3). A time division multiplexing means (5) allocates, alternately at consecutive time sub-intervals, initial radiation that corresponds to interaction radiation dedicated to different atomic species. The result of the interactions with one of the atomic species is then identical to the result of the interactions with a continuous radiation dedicated to said atomic species.

The tube has a longitudinal axis which defines an axis (4) of thrust; an injector (8) injects ionizable gas within the tube, at one end of the main chamber. An ionizer (124) is adapted to ionize the injected gas within the main chamber (6). A first magnetic field generator (12, 14) and an electromagnetic field generator (18) are adapted to generate a magnetized ponderomotive accelerating field downstream of said ionizer (124) along the direction of thrust on said axis (4).
