Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe data writing device and method in a safe instrumentation processing control system.SOLUTION: A protection data writing device and method used in a safe instrumentation processing control system select a parameter associated with a processing control element within the processing control system and transmit first data associated with the parameter to the processing control element. Confirmation information that is associated with a write request of the first data to the processing control element is received by an user, and second data is transmitted to the processing control element in response to the reception of the confirmation information. The first and second data are compared in the processing control element, and when the first and second data are at least substantially the same, the first or second data is written in a place associated with the parameter within the processing control element.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for collecting, storing and presenting data about a batch processing by which relation between various factors of data is automatically obtained by an execution program and, to provide a related structure.SOLUTION: A durable storage device 204 comprises a structure corresponding to relation specified between procedure factors and machines according to the batch processing S88.01 standard. An execution program 202 collects event information generated by a batch process and guides relation between events according to these standard models. Such storage of history data and corresponding retrieval and presentation are simplified. Because a history program is not required to be manually structured to draw a relation by a user. Relation of continuous data log to the event information is automated.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a batch process control system using a storage tank without a mixer, in which properties of the storage tank pump out feedstock are accurately modeled, thereby enabling more accurately control the quality of a process.SOLUTION: This model does not require the measurement of input or pump out flow quantity and does not assume perfect blending. The developed model may assume that feedstock input into a storage tank may remain layered with some mixing due to continuous convection, turbulence during loading, or other factors. The model may include a projection of the properties describing a storage tank layer of material input into the model. For each new load of storage tank input feedstock, model zones may be shifted and the original zone from which the feedstock is drawn may be updated with the properties from the new load of feedstock.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus, capable of managing process control status rollups by detecting changes and issues in a process control system. SOLUTION: The method includes steps of: receiving process control information from at least one process control device included in the process control system; determining at least one issue associated with a part of the received process control information; receiving the selected status type; determining whether or not at least one issue is associated with the selected status type; and displaying the process control status rollups associated with the selected status type and including at least one issue. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adaptively adjust an output from a predicted model by using a measured value of a process parameter. SOLUTION: An adaptive inference model is provided with a standard inference model such as a neural network or a natural model which is constituted so that an output for inferring a process parameter is generated, and the output from the inference model is connected to one or a plurality of measured process parameters to generate an adjusted inference process parameter during process operation. Without reforming the inference model itself, the adaptive inference model requires only an insignificant increase of processing capability and a time to reduce or correct non-linear and linear errors at the estimation of a process variable. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable users at each of the different locations to change the configuration database in a timely, secure and non-conflicting manner. SOLUTION: A configuration database includes multiple databases distributed at a plurality of physical locations within a process control system. Each of the databases may store a subset of the configuration data and this subset of configuration data may be accessed by users at any of the sites within the process control system. To prevent the configuration data being viewed by subscribers within the process control system from becoming stale, the database server automatically detects changes to an item within the configuration database and sends notifications of changes made to the item to each of the subscribers of that item. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for detecting an abnormal situation related to a process plant. SOLUTION: The system receives signal processing data generated by a signal processing data collection block which is implemented by a plurality of devices. The signal processing data collection block can generate data such as statistical data, frequency analysis data, auto regression data, wavelets data, etc. The system includes an analysis engine constituted to detect at least one abnormal situation related to the process plant. The signal processing data is provided to the analysis engine, and the analysis engine determines whether to take an action. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the configuration of an I/O communication network that provides bus power, so that separate power supply devices are connected to the bus, in addition to a bus controller and field devices connected to the bus, to be able to provide power on the bus. SOLUTION: An integrated bus controller and power supply device 72 includes a bus controller 80 and a bus power supply 82 arranged within a common housing 86 that can be matched in the size and external configuration to the standard bus controller device related to the ordinary I/O communication network, and stores and executes one or more control routines using one or more field devices connected to the I/O communication network. On the other hand, the bus power supply generates an appropriate power signal and supplies this power signal to the bus of the I/O communication network. This power signal is used for power supply to the field device. The integrated bus controller and power supply device can be easily connected to the bus of the I/O communication network to provide both bus controller functionality and bus power supply functionality therefor.
