Abstract:
A cross-sectional model is provided that determines the relationship between macroeconomic factors and the odds to score relationship of a scoring model. The cross-sectional model takes economic data from various economic regions, as opposed to time periods, as input, and produces, as output, a prediction of the curve-of-best fit that relates a score to a probability (i.e., the probability of the outcome in question such as paying back a loan or filing an insurance claim, etc.). Related systems, methods and articles are also described.
Abstract:
Methods of identifying polymorphisms associated with ataxia-ocular apraxia 2 (AOA2), are described. The polymorphisms associated with AOA2 include specific mutations in the senataxin (SETX) gene. Also described are methods of diagnosis of AOA2, as well as methods of assessing an individual for carrier status for AOA2.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods for the regeneration and Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of plants in the genera of Jatropha, more specifically, in Jatropha curcas.
Abstract:
A control apparatus for accessing a memory card includes a bus, a detecting circuit, and an adjusting circuit. The bus is regarded as a signal transmission line between the control apparatus and the memory card. The bus has a power signal transmission line for providing the memory card with a power signal. The detecting circuit detects an operating status of the control apparatus and generates an indication signal when the operating status exceeds a predetermined operating range. The adjusting circuit is coupled to the bus and detecting circuit, and is utilized for adjusting a current passing through the power signal transmission line according to the indication signal without closing the power signal transmission line thereby making the operating status operated within the predetermined operating range.
Abstract:
Data characterizing an individual is received. Thereafter, one or more variables are extracted from the data so that, using a predictive model populated with the extracted variables, a likelihood of the individual adhering to a treatment regimen can be determined. The predictive model is trained on historical treatment regimen adherence data empirically derived from a plurality of subjects. Subsequently, data characterizing the determined likelihood of adherence can be promoted. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

Abstract:
An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing and a plurality of terminals received in the insulative housing. The insulative housing has a mating portion, and the mating portion defines a plurality of receiving slots, an inserting slot communicating with the plurality of receiving slots and a pair of guiding posts respectively and symmetrically disposed at two sides of the inserting slot. The pair of guiding posts locating within the spectrum of the height of the inserting slot.
Abstract:
A broadcast method in a wireless network and a communication apparatus using the same. The broadcast method determines whether the broadcast packet is first received upon receiving a broadcast packet. If a determination reveals that the packet is first received, the broadcast packet is stored and rebroadcast to neighbor nodes. Subsequently, a node, among the neighbor nodes, from which the broadcast packet is received, is marked as ‘relayed’. The broadcast packet is rebroadcast when all of the neighbor nodes from which the broadcast packet is received are not marked as ‘relayed’. When all of the neighbor nodes from which the broadcast packet is received are marked as ‘relayed’, the broadcast packet is destroyed. Accordingly, an efficient link-based broadcast method is provided.

Methods of identifying polymorphisms associated with hereditary spastic paraplegia (SPG), are described. The polymorphisms associated with SPG include specific mutations in the receptor expression enhancing protein 1 (REEP1) gene. Also described are methods of diagnosis of SPG.
