Abstract:
A reflector array includes a base, a rotating support pivotally coupled to the base, and an array actuator comprising a rotating element coupled to the rotating support. The reflector array also includes a plurality of reflectors attached to the rotating support such that the plurality of reflectors rotate in unison in conjunction with one another relative to the base as the array actuator rotates the rotating element. First and second reflectors are coupled to the rotating support via separate reflector support elements that are rotatable to adjust elevation angles of the first and second reflectors.
Abstract:
An illumination system includes an illumination source configured to emit illumination light and a dispersive optical element configured to generate an angularly dispersed optical signal from the illumination light that is used to generate a spectral image. A digital micro-mirror device (DMD) includes an array of reflective elements that receive the spectral image and direct a portion of the spectral image to an integrating sphere. A controller is configured to calculate a subset of an array of reflective elements of the DMD to activate based on a target illumination output signal using a calibration model of the illumination system. The controller is also configured to activate the subset of the array of reflective elements to change the portion of the spectral image directed to the integrating sphere to generate an illumination output signal that substantially matches the target illumination output signal.
Abstract:
A field spectral radiometer includes a support structure and a remote sensing head disposed on the support structure. The remote sensing head includes a central axis, a first optical element disposed on a first side of the central axis and defining a first optical path for a first optical channel, and a second optical element disposed on a second side of the central axis and defining second optical path for a second optical channel. An instrumentation assembly disposed on the support structure. the instrumentation assembly includes a first detection path associated with the first optical channel and a second detection path associated with the second optical channel, the first and second detection path include optical indexers for manipulating the first and second optical channels. The field spectral radiometer may include a calibration assembly disposed on the base. The calibration assembly may include a calibrating light source for calibrating the remote sensing head.
Abstract:
A mobile device testing system with a sphere assembly is disclosed. The sphere assembly is a source integrating sphere and a test integrating sphere connected by an optical channel. A source illuminates the source integrating sphere with electromagnetic radiation of a known spectrum of wavelengths, usually light. The electromagnetic radiation travels to the test integration sphere through the optical channel. A first filter assembly and/or a second filter assembly rotate a plurality of filters into the optical channel to change the spectral distribution of wavelengths of the electromagnetic radiation in the test integrating sphere. A mobile device is mounted to the test integrating sphere and the spectral distribution of an image acquired by the mobile device is compared to a spectral measurement from a spectrometer.
