Abstract:
A system and computer implemented method for storing of data in the memory of a computer system in order at a fast rate is provided. The method includes launching a first store to memory. A wait counter is initiated. A second store to memory is speculatively launched when the wait counter expires. The second store to memory is cancelled when the second store achieves coherency prior to the first store to memory.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a control system (63) of a motorcycle (60), which moves an electromechanical steering lock (10) from an unlocked position (1) to a locked position (2) and vice-versa, with an ignition system (62) to start the engine of the motorcycle (60), which is controlled by the control system (63), an authentication (70), in which an ID-generator (64) maintains a data link with the control system (63), wherein after a positive authentication (70) in an operational step (71a,71b), the steering lock (10) is brought into the appropriate position (1,2). According to the invention, it is provided that the first actuator element (31) has a signal connection with the control system (63), which is accessible to the user, and the operational step (71a,71b) commences only after positive authentication (70) via intentional activation of the first actuator element (31), which occurs after the authentication (70).
Abstract:
A method and circuits for monitoring and detecting an error in the static pervasive signals applied to input/output pins of an integrated circuit during functional operation of the integrated circuit. The method and circuits provide a signal signature of each of one or more groups of the static pervasive signals and then monitoring the signal signature for any change of logic level.
Abstract:
Interconnect metallization schemes and devices for flip chip bonding are disclosed and described. Metallization schemes include an adhesion layer, a diffusion barrier layer, a wetable layer, and a wetting stop layer. Various thicknesses and materials for use in the different layers are disclosed and are particularly useful for metallization in implantable electronic devices such as neural electrode arrays.

Abstract:
Additional circuitry is included in an input cell design structure for an integrated circuit to detect and report transitions on an input that was expected to be stable, and to store that event for later analysis. Two or more modified input cells may have their error indications daisy-chained together to minimize additional routing. The storage elements may be included in a scan chain to allow for isolation of which input had the unexpected transition.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a lysis buffer comprising a chaotropic agent and a reducing agent suitable for liquefaction of a highly viscous liquid biological sample, such as sputum, a use of said lysis buffer for the processing of a highly viscous liquid biological sample, methods for processing or analyzing a highly viscous liquid biological sample, or a method for detecting a pathogen within a highly viscous liquid biological sample. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a lysate comprising a highly viscous liquid biological sample and the lysis buffer according to the present invention, a ready-to-use reaction tube and a kit comprising the lysis buffer according to the present invention.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for controlling a blocking member (11) of a functional component (30), particularly of a steering column (30) of a motor vehicle, particularly of a motorcycle, having a drive (20) by which the blocking member (11) can be moved into a locking position (1) and into an unlocking position (2) and vice versa, wherein the blocking member (11) engages mechanically with the functional component (30) when in the locking position (1), releases from the functional component (30) when in the unlocking position (2), and the locking process is started via a defined triggering action on the part of the operator, the blocking member (11) being moved from the unlocking position (2) into the locking position (1) during said locking process. According to the invention, a controller (40) monitors the process, enabling a malfunction of the component (30), in which a locking position (1) of the blocking member (11) is impossible, to be detected, such that the blocking member (11) takes up the original unlocking position (2) despite the triggering action.
Abstract:
According to the present invention a method for the placement of electronic circuit components is provided that supports design modifications by realizing and maintaining relations between the layouts of the components (i1 to i6). These relations are based on relations between the geometrical shapes represented by the layouts for the components. The invention can be implemented by an interactive layout editor. When a layout or the placement of a layout is changed manually, then the placement of the components that are placed already is changed automatically such that the all the relations between the components are realized or maintained. A parent-child relationship can be defined between components such that when the parent component is changed or moved then only the placement of its children is updated automatically. The prioritisation of relations allows resolving conflicts between conflicting relations.
