Abstract:
A COMPACT PUSH BUTTON DOOR LOCK IS PROVIDED WHICH CAN BE INSTALLED IN AN ORDINARY DOOR WITHOUT ENLARGING THE NORMAL OPENING THROUGH WHICH A CONVENTIONAL LOCK IS INSTALLED AND UTILIZING A STANDARD LATCH. THE LOCK INCLUDES A PLURALITY OF FRICTION DRIVEN DISCS EACH OF WHICH HAS A CONTROL BUTTON. A LARGE NUMBER OF PERMUTATIONS ARE POSSIBLE DESPITE THE SMALL SIZE OF THE LOCK MAKING IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT KNOW THE COMBINATION TO OPEN THE LOCK. IN ACCORDANCE WITH ONE EMBODIMENT OF THE PRESENT INVENTION, THE DISCS ARE PROVIDED WITH BREAKOUT MEMBES SO THAT THE HOME OWNER CAN PROVIDE HIS OWN COMBINATION. THE LOCK CAN ALSO BE OPENED IN THE USUAL MANNER WITH A KEY.
Abstract:
SEAMLESS TUBULAR FABRIC IS FORMED ON A DOUBLE NEEDLEBED MACHINE, SUCH AS A RASCHEL. TWO CONNECTOR GUIDE BARS ARE RENDERED SUFFICIENT BY OMITTING FROM EACH BED A NEEDLE AT EACH END OF EACH BAND. POINT D''ESPRIT AND OTHER LAY-IN PATTERNS ARE PROVIDED ALONG WITH A BASIC HEXAGONAL NET.
Abstract:
THE PHASE OF THE OUTPUT SHAFT OF A MECHANICAL POWER TRANSMISSION RELATIVE TO ITS INPUT SHAFT IS SELECTIVELY CONTROLLED THROUGH A FIRST GEAR MECHANISM WHICH IS ROTATABLY MOUNTED ABOUT THE AXES OF THE SHAFTS AND A SECOND GEAR
MECHANISM FIXEDLY SUPPORTED WITH RESPECT TO THE AXES OF THE SHAFTS AND INTERMESHING WITH THE FIRST GEAR MECHANISM.
Abstract:
A fungicidal composition substantially non-corrosive to metals and suitable for spray type application comprising a cuprammonium acetate complex in a solution whose pH is slightly basic. The metal values are retained in solution in the critical pH range while the ammonium component is bound in the complex. The metal values are precipitated by hydrolyzing the complex as by way of substantial dilutions.
Abstract:
A dental equipment stand supporting a plurality of different dental instruments separately supported by individual control modules interchangeably supported with a head movable forwardly and upwardly relative to a base cabinet, each module having control valves for dental utilities such as air and water, under positive pressure, and vacuum, each module also having a reel upon which a compound type of supply hose is coiled and is interconnected at opposite ends respectively to a supply manifold and a dental instrument or device.
Abstract:
A radio direction finder encased in a gun-like housing and having an opening in the housing through which a replaceable fixed single frequency tuner module may be inserted in to the circuit, the tuner module being precisely tuned to the radio frequency of a radio beacon to be detected. Interposed between the output of the audio amplifier of the radio direction finder and the speaker therefor is an audio frequency filter tuned to pass the audio frequency tone of radio beacons but to filter out all other audio frequencies, whereby to reduce the amount of noise presented to the listener.
Abstract:
A TEST FOR DETERMINING WHETHER ONE HAS RECENTLY SMOKED MARIJUANA. THE TEST INVOLVES TREATING THE BREATH OF THE PERSON WITH A COMPOUND KNOWN TO REACT WITH DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS OF MARIJUANA TO PRODUCE A COLOR REACTION. APPARATUS IS INCLUDED.
