    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet paper holder enabling one to cut paper by one hand. SOLUTION: A rotary shaft 3 is fixed to a roll cover 2, and a supporting rod 4 is rotatably fitted to the rotary shaft 3. The supporting rod 4 is inserted into an inserting hole 8. When the paper is pulled up and pushed against a forefront edge of the roll cover 2, an upward and a backward forces are generated. The backward force pushes the supporting rod 4 backward and deformation is generated between an inserting hole 6. Thereby resistance is generated at an upper edge and a lower edge of the inserting hole 6, and the supporting rod 4 is fixed and the rotary shaft 3 at an upper end of the supporting rod 4 is also fixed. The upward force pushes a rear part of the roll cover 2 downward so as to touch against a roll using the rotary shaft 3 as a fulcrum. Thereby the roll cover 2 is fixed and a cutting line of the forefront edge is fixed. The upward force applies a downward force to a back side of the roll cover 2 by lever action so as to press the roll and stop, and the pulled-out paper is tensioned.
